Regarding the idea that old folks are smarter than young folks; some people are just as stupid at 65 as they were at 16. And tossing insults back 'n forth doesn't add anything to a debate. Opinions? Politics?  Interesting, but nothing to get in an uproar about. Have'nt read
or seen any X-rated stuff on this forum. The forum monitor/censor is doing a
good job, expect there's more BS/X-rated stuff thrown out than we can imagine.

ANYTHING to newbies since newbies are not worthy - that is if a curmudgeon actually wished to spend their valuable time in the hopeless endeavor of
schooling a newbie. Curmudgeons are not averse to an open and honest dialogue - we just don't want to listen to your drivel! However, sometimes its so
bad that we have to stop the whatever vitally important thing we are doing to set the record straight. Frankly sir, you can pee in your own fire.

Lencho, you were #1 at the top of my mental list when I make the anti-censorship statement! I can't think of a single instance of a post you've made that I felt was offensive or even borderlined stepping over the above Board
Rules!! I agree that your rules would be less subject to mis-intrepretation.

Personally, I don't care about off topic, I don't go there. I looked to see what all the references were about & immediately decided that's not
an area I want to go or post! That one time was enough to tell me it's not a positive asset to the board...IMHO. I'm in total agreement with you
that Doug's much more forgiving of repeat offenders that I would be. I'm more in favor of a 2-strikes, 1-warning & permanent banishment on the
second offense! Possibly 3-strikes, yer out! Historically, banishments of 7-30 days haven't been all that successful...IMHO.

I totally agree, but Hose A did it for around 2 years. It does take a fair person with a lot of time on their hands! After seeing the direction the
tone of the board has been going, do you sincerely feel self-policing is be successful? I agree that there needs to be stronger & permanent
enforcement...although it's clear that being banned isn't necessarily all that effective from the recent spate of obvious multiple identities set up
by the user-name of the hour individual(s).
Hopefully, Doug might sift through this thread & take away some viable potential solutions.

Lots of noise and chaff.....
emanating from this site. Mostly boring drivel associated with media hyperbole.
The personal attacks seem to be mostly fueled by a few who resent being "newbies".
Some people need more attention than they get in their everyday lives. It appears this is their vehicle for social interaction regardless of how they
they post and how they are received.
I think most of these not-so-happy-about-Baja-these-days types have a very high attrition rate. Hang in there sirs!
