The urban legend part I love, BUT if there is an old couple running around in a Uhaul we should try to help.
Wouldn't Uhaul be looking for their truck. If you see them and don't think your getting through maybe a call to Uhaul would be in order.

Well contrary to some really jerky opinions posted there was some information about a hospital stay that has been followed up and there may be some family contact.

From what I'm reading...

...I'd say, Lighten up on Brenda...she wasn't making 'fun' of these people, just relating her story to a friend, and how out of the ordinary it was in her experience!

It sounds to me that she did make an effort, or several efforts to steer these people in the right direction, and gave them some sound advise on their travels in Baja...

If they believed they were being guided by some other 'force', sounds like Brenda tried to help as much as they would allow...

...seems like you can "lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink", kinda thing to me...

Kudos, Brenda for offering aid to some 'confused' travelers...who, it seems to me, should take responsibility for their own 'adventure'.

According to my clock...anytime is \'BAJA TIME\' & as Jimmy Buffett says,
\"It doesn\'t use numbers or moving hands It always just says now...\"

Skeet,
Don't get all worked up about ageism expressed here by Nomads. Most of the commenters are themselves old dudes like you. I recommend you smoke some weed to take the edge off.

Goat: Thanks for the Suggestion but I have never stooped to the Lower levels of Society of those with Weak Minds, such as the present Liberals.

I would much rather go out and rent a Super Cub and do some Flip - Flops at about 10,000 Ft. Now that would relax me and make me realize that all my words fall on deaf ears, with you as the the Exception!

With all of my Experiences as an Officer of the Law at Hollywood, South Central, East LA, Oakland and San Francisco, none could ever convince me to Smoke that DOPE. By the way the Polica here on I-40 have already stopped and picked ip over 2 million in Illegal Drugs{Since Jan 1st}. Theses Dummies still are coming through on I 40 trying to get their drugs East.

I still have memories of Soledad Prison with all the Major Drug Addicts Locked up and Crying for a Fix.

Thanks any way for the Offer.,

Skeet,
If you were an L.A. cop you would know John O'Grady. He and my father were best friends. My father and I never got along.

Regarding the arrests on I-40, you do not reveal which drugs were being carried by those arrested. Furthermore, you make no distinction between Marijuana and hard drugs.. Do not lump them all together. That is irresponsible. If you worked with that population you should know that.

What do the "major drug addicts locked up in Soledad Prison crying for a fix" have to do with Marijuana?

Why do you use this subject matter to slam Liberals? Drug use is pervasive throught our country, regardless of political ideology. What I am really hoping from you is that you sort this stuff out so that your posts will be received with some credibility.

In response to the Social Security question, Yes. I have been collecting it for 5 years, and I waited until I was 65.

I am old and wandering around Baja without Jehovah. (How does he do it, you say?) You gotta be a tad confused to be able to be here in the first place. It helps!:o

Wait a minute, David. Social Security is a program which I was forced to participate in. Payroll deductions weren't my idea nor were they optional. What should I do at this point? Tell them to keep it because I'm morally against taking money from the government? I was morally against the government forcefully taking money from me but, who would listen to that......
