Jesus has plans of having snack type food. He mentioned ceviche, chips, etc. However, like most businesses, I imagine it won't all happen at one time.

I don't think he will have a full blown restaurant. His sister, Gloria, who had the restaurant at the hotel now has the restaurant at her house by the main beach in town. They tore down the one at the hotel, but another sister, Yoli, is running a small restaurant out of a couple of the rooms at the hotel so I doubt he will open a restaurant any time soon.

It really is quite small, but who knows, if it works, maybe they will expand.

It would cool if say one day a week he had a bbq or food. There was a place in Pescadero that had burgers on Thursdays only. Everyone would show up with a Ballena or two and enjoy. Ceviche works for me, though. I'll be there in a month.

:lol::lol: Just can't help it. Maybe it is that 5 1/2 foot camera.:lol::lol:

Zac
I love your idea and who knows, and I will suggest it to them in the future. During tourist season, I can see where that could really work well.

I hope they can get it up and going as soon as they hope. They hope for father's day, but know that may be too optimistic.

BTW

Don't you go home and make a family after going to the bar:tumble:

That one should be printed and put in Gabriel's babybook.

He is back and really, it is all your fault. You bought the Casa Rosa that he wanted so badly and now he can't be my neighbor.:lol::lol:

My suggestion. Get a good recipe for wings. Every week have a (pick a day) evening BBQ making only wings. Serve them with a couple of dipping sauces. No other food unless it's pre-packed such a potato chips. This gets them in the food business without any investment other than the BBQ and something to serve the wings and sauces in. If things go well, expand down the road.

A Happy Hour would be nice too.

Disclaimer - I love good wings.

Not a problem, he rented the house next door.

Best wishes for Jesus an Martha on their new venture, hope I can stop in for a beer some day. Been wanting to check out B.A. and see what that side of Baja looks like.

Dianne, I have too admit from outside looking in you never miss an opportunity to hassle David when he posts, say what you will about not directing it towards him but it sure doesn't look that way, why not give it a rest......:biggrin: Some of us don't want to read peoples snide remarks towards others:wow:

I apologize, sincerely as it is not my intention to annoy others even if it is a two way street. I do let him irritate me when he talks for everyone, defines Baja and Nomads according to his definitions, inserts his politics at every turn when it does not belong anywhere except in off-topic, and then there is the kayak incident that I won't repeat here that speaks to his character.

However, on this thread, I really was speaking in generalities, but I did make the mistake of only quoting him---my mistake.
He really is not worth the time or effort. Besides, if stickers appear in the new bar, maybe the one that has the X over the smiling sun will appear. It is my favorite.:lol:

I will, however, try to do better and simply ignore him---it is, afterall simply a forum.

Diane

Diane,
I don't agree with DK on a lot of things he posts but he is a wealth of info for those whose who seek it, and he gives it freely, take it or leave it. He seems to take the high road most of the time when challenged.
I could list some things that you posted too that didn't go over so well too but that is not the high road is it:light:
Peace, Love, fish taco's, and thank god we are not all the same.

I very much agree with you, well almost. He does know a lot about parts of Baja and does share his knowledge as do a lot of people here. I have and do enjoy his information about things about which he has knowledge. High Road? No, that I cannot agree with---I found that out the hard way the first time I disagreed with him about a place he liked---old history.

And yes, I know I have stepped on toes---even at times when I didn't know it, and it will probably happen again. But I hereby promise to try and ignore all of his threads and posts---unless he attacks a friend, then that is different.

Thanks for letting us know about the new pub Diane. I have walked around the place many a time waiting for Tim and Juan and the other fisherman to come to shore with their catch. Thinking....ahh...wouldn't it be dandy to be sitting back sipping a cold one in this place.

We are going to make a lot of good memories here. And the sunsets....those will be good to. Can't wait! Would love to be there opening day....what a hoot that would be.

Ya, thanks Diane! Looks like a good reason to visit B.A. I hope opening day is when the fishing gets good.;D

I think we may get in a bit of trouble! Can you imagine all the "girls" at the bar, hopefully one of the husbands, can come and get us all!

Well, at least you two can walk back home. It is just those uneven sand dunes that might cause you some problems.

Are you kidding Gypsy? Its all I can think about at the moment. How fun will this be? Walking distance even. The only draw back that I can see is that it is up hill on the way home. I have been known to Zig and Zag so this should be a breeze.

Diane, you should be able to walk home as well! I know we will buy donkeys, and each of us will have a donkey! If need be we will have someone duct tape us on them!
