Mulegena, Don Chano's is a great location and Manuel and his family will make you feel right at home. The arroyo behind Don Chano's is a mystical place.

David: According to Google Earth, the distance is just over 8,000 ft. The main road is for cars but the section along the river from under the bridge to where it joins the main road (about 1000 feet from where the pavement ends) is for foot traffic only... no motor vehicles of any kind as I've been told.

Just for to answer Tony's Q. and anybodies better understanding
I am Mexican, my husband is American.
I never saw any American in a official City Meeting. Not even my husband.(BS # 1)
I never saw/met any Mexican discussing a topes in the U.S. (Fact #1)
You are stating you care about Mulege? Then why don't you guys meet w/ the locals to discuss issues (I do not mean meeting with locals for drinking @ Bart's) or join in w/ the delegado and make REAL suggestions and the suggestion how to pay for?
No more discussion on this thread for me. Period
