My computer swaps back and forth between my desk and the living room where it's displayed on a 1080p big-screen with full 5.1 surround for multimedia
and casual surfing from the sofa. It's more a problem of source material levels than speaker choice. If I've got it cranked to hear X with low levels
and then without realizing you go somewhere and the levels are high on Y then you're in for a bit of an unpleasant surprise. This is the first time in
years I've been aurally assaulted by a basic web page or forum that wasn't Youtube or a band website; where you'd expect auto-play audio/video. It's
just bad netiquette.
Addendum: The nature of netiquette is that it is the general consensus of the community. If Nomads feel that unstoppable audio embedded in every post
is their thing, then so be it. I'll either turn off the sound (hard to do when I'm using my computer as a music player while I read Nomads) or stop
coming back. Once multiple audio sources start to overlap, everybody loses.

I would think that perhaps a week, or maybe a month maximum of monitoring would assure them that there are no drug dealers, smugglers or terrorists
among our membership.
If it takes longer, then I really resent my tax dollars going to such waste. Using the word "intelligence" to describe who they are is a real
oxymarooon...DUMB! Of course, look how they screw up around the world.

Thus far, products disseminated and services provided also vary. Fusion centers reported issuing a variety of products, such as daily and weekly
bulletins on general criminal or intelligence information and intelligence assessments that, in general, provide in-depth reporting on an emerging
threat, group, or crime. For example, one center’s weekly bulletin contained sections on domestic and international terrorism, cold case
investigations, missing persons, officer safety, and items of interest to law enforcement. etc... etc... etc.. got it toneart?

FYI, I pulled up the GAO report (2007) that you referenced. It is basically our Government Accounting Office trying to get a handle on how Homeland
Security is setting up systems on how to coordinate communications with the various other "intelligence" agencies. (December 25, 2009...not very
well!)
Of course we know this is how so much of our tax dollars are wasted. Yes, San Diego is a major "Fusion Center".
Again...my question: Why do they waste more than a month lurking on The BajaNomad? Of all the chat, both left and right and even the apolitical, I
have never read anything here that would suggest the least bit of terrorist, Drug Cartel or smuggling activity.
I could care less that they are reading this, other than it is a waste of money...and dumb.

Look you guys are all over the place.
1.) I called out that fascist Racist Marjorie, Fulano,Arrowhead, Sybil, Nancy whatever her name is from that other trash talking blog she runs out of
cat infestied hovel in SADM.
2.) She took the bait claiming ARROWHEAD (her alter ego) her name on this blog was Tom Goodman from Malvern AR.
3.) Tom Goodman is a real person who lives in Rosarito beach and I'm sure will claim no connection with ARROWHEAD.
4.) Marjorie who has several personalities and clearly hates the Nomads.
