the Nomad Express shipping cooperative works really well...let us know when you want to send something and we can ask the next visitors coming to bring it down...it's easiest if you can get it sent to them.

shipping and bringing down stuff this Saturday

Shari - the idea of a shipping cooperative is fantastic

Re LA BOCANA - it is easiest if someone tells us when they are coming and then we meet at the crossroads and do an exchange ... we can always ask the restarant to hold onto items for us too

the other option is to send stuff to Ensenada and our coop here has a truck that will bring almost anything to us

and there is always BAJA PACK - they ship to any bus terminal along hiway 1

So now I need someone coming from SanDiego to Baja Sur this weekend since BajaCat ended up with too many boxes to bring down for me !! ayudameeeee helpppppppppppp

Jose ... great ... I am so glad you can bring everything and yes, everyone here laughs at my Spanish Brazailian accent too !! Altho' sometimes they ask me "where" in Mexico I am from and that puts a HUGE smile on my face
To get to our place: take the first exi to the right after Vizcaino = this is the exit to PUNTA ABREOJOS. Go all the way (it is 95% paved now) to Punta Abreojos. Once in the town of Punta Abreojos, look for a street called Miguel Dominguez, this is where you turn right (or head straight on depending if you are driving on the air strip). Drive along side of the lagoon into La Bocana. Stay AWAY from any sign of water on the sand – you WILL get stuck. Follow any path towards the right. Follow the main paved road in La Bocana (Calle Fundadores) to the church, turn right at the church. Take the first left. Right again onto Calle Erizo. Our house is on Calle Erizo. Big, white, 2 story, at the far north end of Calle Erizo.

From Hiway one turn off to La Bocana is about 1 hour or 100 kilometers. Make sure to fill up on gas in Vizcaino
:bounce: See you Saturday or Sunday ???? :bounce:

There is a huge palapa called Mario's right before GN, on the right, just AFTER THE CHECK POINT. we ate there recently and it was really good. they also do whale watching tours, which if you never have gone, is an experience of a lifetime.

So, we will see you at the turn off to Punta Abreojos on Sunday. Look for a big white Nissan Titan truck and a blue eyed Polish American guy and a dark skinned Brazilian American gordita and you will see us !!

Breakfasts in El Rosario at Mama Espinoza'a are famous ... maybe you could do lunch in GN at Mario's. We figure that you will arrive at the Punta Abreojos turnoff at about 2, we will be there !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Felicidades Blanca

Since I'm off to Mulege next week to visit the Mexican relatives, I thought that a BajaNomad session would be a great way to get me pumped up for going south and what a wonderful surprise to see you here Blanca.

So, Nomads, let me just tell you what an AWESOME and COMMITTED Baja community member Blanca is...I've known her for "many moons" as a wonderfully talented English teacher in San Diego and all of you who have been contributing to her La Bocana projects should know what a huge and giving spirit you are supporting. Blanca's efforts are a version of the "Baja Energizer Bunny", it goes on and on. She genuinely loves working with others and learning about different cultures. So, all of us who have enjoyed working with her in San Diego know that her star shines brightly now in La Bocana where she is sharing her enthusiasm and love of people in so many meaningful ways!! Felcidades Blanca y espero que podemos verte muy pronto en Mulege  Besos desde San Diego
