No, no power in PC. Yes, I have a generator but am too cheap to run it with the AC (older window unit) I have. Thinking about a mini split but would
like to trade my Honda 3000i for a 2000i for fuel conservation. That would be great if the Nomads would run power to PC because the only time we hear about power here is election time. So the
rumors are flying now. With a fan it isn't too bad.

Russ there are many solar AC solutions out there. The Israel's units are the best i think at 24 and 48 V. DC.
also huge industry advances in direct/indirect cooling using 1/10 the wattage of conventional piston and rotary compressors. you need a water supply
for those however. and they are impervious to the pitfalls of traditional swamp cooling. i.e. - heavy humidity - no factor!
when can i come install??!!

None here... Never heard of such a thing but for sure one would have to up size the solar system. Bring it down. We'll hook'r up!

Russ you can see them [solar lo volt compressors splits] in Los Cabos area, which is where i 1st discovered them in 2007 fall while down for the race.
they are pricey. designed esprecially for the off grid clientele who needs and can afford the technology.
but the D/I coolers have not found their way to mexico yet. too new.
i have them but import duty and freightwill make them a tad spendy.
that said i would have one if living on the SOC side during summer IF i had a water supply for the 2nd stage exchanger. they save elec but USE water.
