I wouldn't base my opinion of Skeet from his posts. He seemed a pretty decent sort in person--or at least he did when I met him a few years ago. But I only saw him for a couple of hours, he may have been on his meds.

On this "Baja Board" I think a meeting of old and new, or old and young, however you would prefer it, would be an exciting experience for all involved. I just wish Don Jimmy and J.R. to name a couple could make it. I guess I have as great a time looking back as anticipating the future. There are certianly things to be learned by listening to those who have alot of "time on the ground"! Count me in I'll be happy to listen!

Nah Skeet, my truths come with a small t, not a capital T. I believe the world is primarily made up of perceptions and the seeking of what might be close to a truth---with a small t. But like all people, I am biased in different directions, but it is still with a small t.

Now I guess I was wrong---I thought your truths came with a capital T, but maybe I was wrong. I guess maybe you do accept ALL religions and ALL political beliefs as valuable with good things to offer, and equal to your belief system. Sorry I missed that somewhere along the line.

Good one Skeet, your post really amused me.:lol:

Good luck in the hospital.

If you decide on Mulege in the fall count me in. A party sounds like fun, I would love to meet some more Nomads.

What we see depends mainly on what we look for.

Dennis, isn't your request analogous (albeit on a smaller scale) to asking others to "cut some slack" for a Ku Klux Klan member who spews racist remarks, because he's been doing it "for a long time"?

No analogy at all. His remarks have never been "racist." Show me one instance that you can seriously take as supportive of one while invalidating another.

KKK? Nonsense, pure and simple. Verify your slanderous remark.

Dennis, I don't think you know what an analogy is; I was not accusing anyone on this Board of being a racist, or even a redneck right-winger.

I propose a party in Ciudad Constitution AFTER they stop the EXTORTION of Nomads and other tourists who must travel though their town. At this party we give awards to locals who have contributed time and effort to stop police corruption in Ciudad Constitution. At that time we give the hospital jackets or tangible support for a local charity. We make news with this by doing this in this way. Hopefully we send a message to all of Baja that we are here and we care and we support cities who successfully take on corruption.

Skeet loves this town; it is centrally located and a party there would be an excellent way to support this community and to celebrate their brave action of stopping police extortion. This would also make NEWS about Nomads help local communities fight corruption and supporting local charities in communities that fight corruption. We could toss a very big pebble into a very big pond by doing this and publicizing the heck out of it. This is also another way to multiply the power of our generosity to the people of Baja.

Hey Skeet, I'll donate a large patio to have the party on...but only if I get to wear my skirt while on the motorcycle.
