That was from Wikipedia. Believe what you wish about such open source sites.

That said, if this exhibit is to be believe, it shows El Salvador, Honduras and Guatemala in the hall of shame.

Flooding rather than violence would keep me from buying property on the river in Mulege. And it's one of my favorite places in Baja.

My sentiments exactly. Seems like typical macho stuff. Guy probably looked at his wife/girlfriend wrong or made some remark. Having been in the bar business all my life, this maybe one of those occasions that proof how booze can do wonders for you.

The newspapers said he was a farmer from sinaloa, a farmer who flew in on a private jet. Wonder what his crop was?

ALFALFA

Seriously? He must grow a lot of alfalfa, however when a bale of alfalfa is about 90 pesos each a big operation could make some serious dough.

Development is good. It gives employment to many and gives them a better life than they might have had. What does the Collectivo Pericu expect us to stay at one of those shanty towns to save the environment. Perhaps the hotels should pay their workers american wages since they charge in american dollars.

Hello-o-o-o-o!....Hello-o-o-o-o! Is there an echo in here? I already said that, Jesse.

(I'm just messin' with you, Jesse. Point is...we agree.)

The reports which have been linked here provide the evidence currently available to anyone, there are many police investigators on this board, any of those or anyone can surmise a fair amount from the facts noted which state:

The gun was federally issued 9mm

There were witnesses who have testified-the police have "filtered" the public info to "protect" the investigation

The victim was shot 7 times in the back and head with a 9mm

The victim is identified as Gabriel González Lazcano

Gee I wonder this murder is among other actions this week as part of an initiative-in parallel-call it... nuevo ______

Gnu-

9mm issued by which Federal Government?

Your last sentence is a tad obscure. Are you inferring that there is a possible clandestine U.S. agent operation involvement? Interesting theory, but to what purpose? Can you elucidate?:?:

One or two bullets is a murder. Seven bullets is a hit. That guy must have cornered the alfalfa market.

The articles which came out right away and I linked, stated that there were witnesses including the girlfriend of the shooter who left her purse and ID, and staff security who witnessed the shooting and confronted the shooter, they identified the weapon by the catrtridges and by sight as a federally issued 9mm that are issued to Federal forces.

Then the articles state that the police are filtering the publicly available info in order to protect the investigation.

I have no idea whether any of the statements are true, however taking the reports at face value, a person can surmise certain elements of the case.

If you or anyone are so inclined you can read the articles or look for new ones today, ask yourself why would a federally issued military or police weapon be used in this murder, why are the facts filtered and withheld?

The articles which quote the investigators say enough to understand something about the case and the perpetrator.

Weapons in Mexico

Wiley.....there are more guns in the hands of citizens in Mexico than you would think......and .......

it appears there is more to this shooting than what is being reported by "official and unofficial" sources.

I hate to discuss such a morbid subject, hopefully that isn't the point, the point is the police investigators have reported some facts, which are linked above, surprisingly few will read anything these days, the reports from the local/federal investigators identify the weapon as a federal weapon and further state they were required to withhold evidence. Why it's up to me to point out this obvious fact among others while nearly the entire group here would prefer to either deny or obfuscate the facts or attack each other is purely a historical tradition of Baja Nomads.

Let us move on toward common sense, lacking fear, and instead encourage the people to use their heads to think rationally based in facts.
