Many people have registered same/similar usernames over there as users here - but it's not the same people, including "BajaNomad".

I am not, nor have been, a registered user of that site.

Yes, even DavidK was registered over there for a while. And, can you believe it, there's a Roberto over there too! You just don't know who you can trust these days.

I said many, not all were not the same users here. Please take that into consideration.

If one reads the post... continuity does develop a style ... :):) .. my user name is on just about everything ... along with a web site link...

Really did NOT know about this identity thingy ... filled it all out completely .. WOW

As most know, tracking down someone can be done... if ya want to spend a little time and money ... some folks make a living at it... both private and public...

With certain exceptions duly noted...:biggrin:

As far as expecting any one source to be "balanced"; I think that is a bit naive. I had no problem with Mengano being "all negative all the time", he (either he's a he, or she has come biiiiiig hands!) told the truth and posted supporting links. No problems there for me.

The problem (from my humble opinion) was when Mengano went after a forum member who took exception with his style by posting a lot of personal information. That someone has compiled that sort of info on any of us I found a bit creepy. Stalker-ish. What's next, a van with curtained windows parked in front of your house?

Banned for that behavior, cool. Banned for a negative focus (but true and supported), not cool.

I, for one, am very glad mengano is gone. I hadn't been reading his/her stuff for a long time but it still irked me that he/she was only writing about extremely negative topics incessantly. life is about balance .... IMO.

I am stunned you would feel that way. Last thing you need is somone publishing "bad news" about Baja. How do you get irked by things you don't read, anyway? Inquiring minds want to know.

Now we got the good guys against the good guys. Ma-guano has acheived his purpose. Let the slime go down the drain. Check out Don Jorge's post about him and his daughter surfing their brains out and having fun. That's what forum is supposed to be about.

I for one am sorry to see the banishment of Mengano. He really does have good and true information to impart to everyone here regarding Mexico. Of course, what he reports is very bad because Mexico is a very violent place.

When the United States starts having mass murders at one time by different criminal factions, who then compound their horror by cutting their victim’s heads off and stacking heads and bodies like a cord of wood on major thoroughfares then people can compare the United states with Mexico. Until then you cannot justify the comparison.

Yes –Mengano He can be abrasive with a few in here, but as I see it, those few really, and I mean REALLY deserve it. I know some in here do not agree that if attacked, one should not attack back. I do not agree with that. If someone pulls a knife, you expect a gun in your nose.

Well, that is is my two cents in the matter. If you disagree, I do not care because I know I’m right!
