iTunes? Isn't that a song thing? Do you want to hear 'When the Swallows Return to Capistrano" (only mission song I can think of this late)?

If this book does well, then it will launch us into new projects... we have ideas that are Baja & Alta and History related.

Thank you very much! Max was up here in Oceanside working on the final edits with me... It keeps looking better to us with each improvement we make. You guys on Nomad are getting the inside view as this goes to print next week (we hope)!

I want very bad for you guys to have something you will keep in your glove box and realize both Baja and Alta California has these treasure from the past scattered all over the place! With some knowledge as to what they were or when they were, it brings a whole new dimension to traveling in the Californias! :light:

Hot off the press!

Today Max picked up our first printing of new books and tomorrow he is bringing them here to add my autograph to the first orders of books... Then they are going to be mailed, first class so you who have ordered them will get them ASAP!

We sure put a lot of work into this and I hope you enjoy it and find it a useful guide as you visit or learn about the 48 California Missions!

Even though the book is published, we are offering the PRE-PUB DISCOUNT to the end of September (3 more days)... so do some early Christmas gift shopping and save about $8 per book! www.oldmissions.com is where you go to buy online.

Thank you for your support of this project! Here is a sample pair of pages on one of the missions:

Everyone who purchased the book at the special price... up to Noon, today... Your book is mailed! :bounce:

Here is what I posted on Facebook tonight:

The first batch of new books were mailed today... to California, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, Colorado, Kansas, British Columbia and Alberta! Thank you for your orders!! All books sent via First Class USPS with tracking. Start looking for it early next week depending how far you are from San Diego. As an added bonus, every book ordered in September is autographed by all three authors! Enjoy!

=====================================================

We found more orders in the P.O. Box and from PayPal when we got done mailing the first orders... Thank you for your great support!

There are TWO more days left to get in on the special price and I have more copies with all three author's autographs... This is a limited quantity and Max's lady and co-author Erline may not sign any more as it is difficult for her.

I have another surprise to share with you all soon, so stay tuned to Baja Nomad and Facebook/oldmissions ;)

Right and sadly the information is less than accurate. The recent INAH sponsored, big, folding book on the missions and Camino Real was so full of errors it helped motivate me to publish an accurate history on the true missions and their dates. The INAH book was in both languages and we did include it in the reference list.

Just a note, more books mailed today... and the first were mailed late on Friday, so probably didn't get far until Saturday... Things must move on Sunday because today (Monday), a book customer in FLORIDA got his! Another in Northern California just emailed me that his also arrived.

I hope the book is useful to understand the how and why of all 48 California Missions and it adds to the interest and motivates further research or visits to the sites on both sides of the border!

Thank you!
