Thank you, Barb for saying those nice things about our friend JR! I chose to remember the good times and not the drama stuff of any online fighting. I
hope the bamboo project has not died with JR.
As for Ski Baja... yes, see his avatar photo of JR on skis in the San Pedro Martir: http://forums.bajanomad.com/viewthread.php?tid=2274#pid14522

Nothing has changed.
I just dropped in more than two years after my last post, and NOTHING has changed. The same people slinging the same insults. It is one of the reasons
I moved back to California. I can't wait for the brain dead former Marine to turn a few dozen insulting lies into GIFs denigrating my military service
because I've had the temerity to speak.

Indeed! I finally visited San Nicolas, too!! I hope you are doing well and have nice views of Mt. Shasta (if my memory is correct).

I ended up buying a couple of windows from the Titanic set that JR rescued and took down to his place in San Bartolo, actually located on the Bainoro
Ranch up the arroyo from town. When JR died, Carol came down and took what she wanted and left the rest to the ranch family he was leasing land from
to build his Bamboo Mansion. As I am friends of the ranchers and they were looking to pick up some money, I offered to take two windows off their
hands after first trying to find them a buyer on the Internet. Plan to incorporate them into an apartment we will eventually build at our place in La
Paz.
JR was a lot like my friend David K in that both are/were about Baja and could really get under some peoples' skin but are/were really easy to like in
person and excellent company.

There most certainly is but one side to every story: the TRUTH. Variations of it are nothing but lies.

More than 2 years and you insult the nomads that are slinging insults and denigrate another former Marine. You can do better, Perry.
We (you and I) and other Marines served with honor and no one can take that away.
Hope you will continue to speak up and contribute to this forum. I'm convinced you have much to share.

Well said. I agree. If this site had gag-orders and showed no signs of real, emotional life, it would have expired in the incubator.

Well...it's not like rules don't exist here. I've been sent to Nomad Purgatory....more than once....so, I can attest to its existence.
