notice the dozer track in the middle of nowhere
there might be more the sat images do not reveal, but would be visible on the ground

I studied the dozer tracks a bit more
they seem to come through the Arroyo that leads to the (other) hot springs

this reminds me of the time when Karl and I studied Google Earth for 3 months to find a drivable connection between El Barril and Santa Marta
once we got there it was a breeze
later known as the No Wimp trail
now known as closed

advantage of Google Earth over all the others is that you can rotate and tilt to get a good 3 dimensional impression of the area you are studying

Back to the San Rafael hot spring... Here is what Padre Consag wrote in 1746, on June 16th, 1746. Note that he says the hot springs are only exposed
at low tide, [like Puertecitos and Agua Verde (San Cosme) hot springs are. I wonder if after 260 years and so much 'sea-level rise' has them forever
underwater now?].
