Tuesday nite we received a sighting report of Gary at a Rosarito beach from a very kind lady who is a resident and business owner in Rosarito with a home on this beach, occurring about a week ago. She had seen our flyer in the Ecos newspaper and felt it could've been him. Of great help we're hoping, is this kind lady's grandson who is an avid surfer and who will be helping us scope out the surf spots south of Rosarito. We are so grateful to folks who come forward with any information because it helps us map out either places we've missed or if it serves simply to help us keep the faith that we will find Gary. One thing to note that this lady helped us recognize: it's very important to convey to folks that Gary is not in any trouble, nor are the feds or authorities looking for him, this is strictly and absolutely a family missing their loved one who may be in trouble, and he simply has not been heard from in far too long a time by his caring family, who know he traveled alone and are fearful for him. We only ask to hear his voice on the phone, have him assure us he is okay, all is okay, and that is all.

For all nomads' information, the BajaTimes publishes online in english once every two weeks and their spanish version, Ecos, publishes weekly though I'm not sure if there's an online version of this one. Papers have been most kind in helping us publish our flyer information as well as other publications: the Gringo Gazette, El Vigio and El Mexicanos. When you folks are helping us spread the word, it may help to direct your friends and associates to these publications for Gary's photos of him and his car, and of course, most importantly, to our most useful website, bajanomad.com, for clear color photos and friendly, endearing support that has meant so much to us, the Patton family.

Staying vigilant ---- with strength from all of you folks every day.

The gringo gazette is easily found in LaPaz and it is one of the first publications we look for when we head that far south.
It is also readily found in Ensenada in the hotel we stay at.

The rest of us in the middle of the peninsula don't seethe published form, we are too few residents, or there is no consistent delivery?

Ithink it is a very good idea to have flyers in it!

Which hotel is that, Blanca?

BAJA TIMES

My husband just shared that he saw an article about Gary Patton in the BT as he is an avid surfer in the Rosarito area. Now he has made a connection, I shared this info weeks ago with him after seeing it on this site but it didn't connect. Maybe the newspaper ad will help bring in more people. Hopeful your family!

There is the Sudcaliforniano newspaper also.

http://www.oem.com.mx/elsudcaliforniano/default.aspx

Which would get to the Spanish speaking community.

Dear Nomads:
We have dear family friends in Guerrero Negro that have a wedding coming up and the location is to be LaPaz. We are hoping and think it's possible, especially if some reported sightings of Gary as far as San Juancito are true, that Gary could be planning to drive there to attend and take pictures. He has attended family events with them before, just never so far south. We know it's a reach, but not impossible:

It's called Hacienda San Alfonso
nearby Ejilio San Pedro
supposedly in/near LaPaz

We found a beautiful estate on Facebook by this name but couldn't get precise directions to it. We'd like to ask all the nomads to be on lookout on the highways and in towns and beaches in Baja Sur in the event Gary has traveled toward there and/or is on his way there. You've all been our lifeline to hope for news and efforts, and we thank you all once again !

No Dennis, there hasn't been any activity in Gary's bank account, although we can not confirm how much money Gary started with when he went to Baja September 4th.

Going on three months. He must have had a bundle if that's how it went down.

You can see from David's map that San Pedro is south of La Paz, and just north of the Hwy 1 & Hwy 19 junction.

Hacienda San Alfonso is an event "salon" - specifically for special events. Here's more info:

And a Wikipedia blurb on San Pedro, BCS:

Thank you David K. for posting the map of Baja, specifically the La Paz area for the Dec. 7th wedding that Gary had received an invitation to attend. Anything that might help with the search and sighting of Gary is so appreciated.

Thanks for the info, BB. I was just wondering since I can get it online.
I do miss the north edition though.

To the Patton Family—our thoughts are with you as you pass a major holiday with your family member still missing in Baja. Not knowing is a painful experience, and we all look forward to the day answers are found to Gary's mysterious and unexplained disappearance.

Today marks the beginning of the 4th month since Gary Patton went missing~last seen at Hotel Jardines when he checked out on Sept. 5.
Dozens of Nomads remain alert to his disappearance and keep an eye out for him and his silver Toyota. He is still in our thoughts and we personally will scan the highway yet again as we drive down to Loreto next week.
