I have a 50 gal WVO tank in the back, bringing another 25 gal in jugs I use for trash later, 30 of diesel, my range is over 1500 miles. Lots of work done to the drivetrain and engine.

Uh-Oh, for some reason I cannot attach my image. I will keep trying.
Oh well, basically it is a 96 Dodge Cummins, 4wd, regular cab, long bed.

Ok Woody I'll bit. What does "Bamba" mean? I looked it up and it comes out the same in both Spanish and English. I know we have a lot of old beaters down here that are Las Bombas but I'm really at a loss with La Bamba

You guys with all your shiny rigs make me sick, old Mary Ann took us south for better than 20 years,no AC,radio,14 gallon tank, when you went south in that thing you lit a candle, had to replace a few things from time to time lucky for us it was never down there:lol:

After one trip down you knew how Louis and Clark must have felt and always very happy you made it back:lol:

When my brother pulled my Toyota (Smash above) across the border last Dec. with his Ford. The border agent said " I never thought I'd see a Ford pulling a Toyota". Well you're the second one.

Ol' Yota was running just fine, it was heading home for some routine maintenence, a new front bumper, and re-configure the tow bar.

Did you get your Yota back together?

No pix, but what we drive down to Baja (and everwhere else for that matter) is a '95 Isuzu Rodeo. I think she's about ready to be retired down there!

The first trip she made down in '95 she acquired the nickname of, "Taxi Roja" and that's what she's been stuck with!

You'd be surprised at how many Cabo fisherman you can fit in that little SUV! Not to mention how many kids on the trips to El Sauzal or Candelario looking for mangoes! H.
