I have never stopped worrying about Barney. I am soooooo glad you got him back. How far away from your home is Maneadero?
I would love to hear the story, as much as you know. I'm going outside right now to tell Paco (my dog) the news!:bounce:

Maneadero is about 7 miles from our home. I'm sure Barney does have a story to tell but I don't think we'll ever know it. Our best guess is that someone offered him comfort after "the big bang" and decided he'd make a nice pet and took him home. Left his very nice collar on him but removed the tags. He does not like to be confined and if there is a way out, he'll find it. So we are thinking he "broke out" last night or early this morning. The man who brought him to us this morning said he found him this morning on his way this way. Whatever, it works for all of us - he's HOME!

Very good news indeed. Funny coincidence. Last year when Buzz went missing in Mulege he was retuned 6 days later with his collatr minus the tags. Hmmmmmmm, you gotta wonder.:?:

Hooooray for Barney's safe and healthy return!!!

I felt sooo bad for you folks. Had a teagle or a barrier, we were never quite sure which dominated, beagle or terrier. Her name was Marjean Gumbody and she hated fireworks, too. Neighbor kids would torment her around July 4th. I so understood how he might run off and he is such a handsome boy he was probably hard to resist.

Anyway glad he's back with his loving people! Congratulations!! :bounce:

All our prayers have come true.

It must be a great day in your house!!!!!!!!!!

I hadn't commented before, but every time I visited the board and saw that your pooch was still AWOL it brought a little sadness to my heart. I am honestly shedding tears of happiness for you! There is nothing much that spoil the rest of my day. (Whew) I HOPE.

You might consider an Invisible Fence System if you have property Barney can roam. I put it in for Paco and it works!!! I would be the last to do anything that is cruel. The deterrent is less that a shock and a little more than a buzz. I have done it to myself. (and now I don't leave home)...no...that's not right. Actually the buzz/shock can be adjusted and they learn boundries the first time. It is just enough for them to be surprised, and they don't like to be surprised. :o

You can U2U me if you need more information. Again, I'm very happy you got Barney back. If only they could talk.....:?:

Congratulations!!!!! That is the best news I've heard hear in a long time. If only Barney could talk.

Maybe we ought to have a story made up for Barney? I'll start it and everyone can add a piece to it.

It was a Tuesday morning. I was laying out side enjoying a warm nap in the sun whan all of a sudden BOOMMM!! The Sky is Falling, The SKY is FALLING!!! I ran as fast as I could, straight away from the bomb that just went off. 15 minutes later I was far away. ......

I ran so hard and so fast and so long that when I finally stopped I was lost.
These really nice people picked me up and started feeding me but the minute they turned their back I took off looking for my mommy and daddy.
