Sometimes you can be objective and sometimes you spout archaic cliches.......sometimes in the same post. The debate here seems to be between the
people who want to see crime punished, even though it may be inadvertent and greater that the crime committed. And on the other hand, those whose
sensitivities don't allow joy over another's misfortune, no matter that he is a thief (criminal).
Why do you have to equate the latter to "commies"? First of all, Communists in the USA were an ineffectual political party whose numbers were in the
way way small minority. They were no real threat to anybody. They were not representatives of the Democrat Party, or even Hollywood Celebrities. The
Communist Threat in the USA was manufactured by the ultra right wing; Birchers and Hearst yellow journalism, Joseph McCarthy and his suck-up
kiss ass, Nixon. The rhetoric has been perpetuated by mindless parrots who have been duped by vehement (and now mostly dead) zealots.
I could respect your opinion regarding the debate (poetic justice vs. the compassionate) even though I don't share it . But, you lose respect with me,
and I suspect others, when you equate sensitivity with politics, or worse Communists! What's up wit dat
Sure, Skeet's perspective is framed in Christianity ( implied, not stated). How does that make him a "Commie"? Get a grip, man. Skeet was a career law
enforcement officer. You are confusing your party line alignments and mixing your metaphors. And I doubt Skeet would agree with my politics, but he is
smart enough to not accuse, or even think that I am a Communist. He gave an honest and heartfelt opinion on the topic. You had that chance too,
Dennis, but you blew it.
BTW, I have had plenty to say about GWB, Dick Cheney, Rumsfeld, Perleman, Wolfowitz and the rest of the PNAC obliterating and murdering a culture . I
will stand up and defend myself and the Republic for which I stand. You know the crap I have drawn in Off Topic by the bottom dwellers there.
