This is kind of a ridiculous thread where the OP wants a hand count on who wants him to stay.

If you can't stand the heat then stay out of the kitchen and don't let the door hit you on the way out.

Jesus, people always disagree and argue over the most minor things, and this is "Baja Nomad" where they escalate things to unheard levels!

I bet I could start a thread of how best to BBQ meat and get into an argument over which is better gas or charcoal and the best unit to buy.

You also got guys that like to argue, troll, or are just unhappy and want to get into an argument. You could also come across over some members that really do have a different opinion that you, and will fight tooth and nail to win the argument.

The best thing to do is develop thick skin or don't enter controversial threads like politics where there is always heated disagreements.

Nothing new here. It's the same old suspects: ******, ********, *******, ************, *****, ********, *********, *******, and esp. *********.

Strange form of entertainment but when a nomad has no life, and too much time on their hands, this forum is a life saver. What a blessing! No mistake this group is from BCN or, worse, California.

"I bet I could start a thread of how best to BBQ meat and get into an argument over which is better gas or charcoal and the best unit to buy."

What an incredibly stupid post. How could you post on BBQ and leave out the absolute best BBQ method, the pellet BBQ.

These guys just won the Oregon State Fair prize for best whole pig!!

http://www.teemgreen.com/

I can't imagine the rock you must live under. How can you ever gain any credibility here with such a lame post!

Welcome to Nomads!

And my favorite----been on here before and on other forums.

How Many Forum Members Does it take to Change a Lightblub

1 to change the light bulb and to post that the light bulb has been changed
14 to share similar experiences of changing light bulbs and how the light bulb could have been changed differently
7 to caution about the dangers of changing light bulbs
1 to move it to the Lighting section
2 to argue then move it to the Electricals section
7 to point out spelling/grammar errors in posts about changing light bulbs
5 to flame the spell checkers
3 to correct spelling/grammar flames
6 to argue over whether it's "lightbulb" or "light bulb" ... another 6 to condemn those 6 as stupid
2 industry professionals to inform the group that the proper term is "lamp"
15 know-it-alls who claim they were in the industry, and that "light bulb" is perfectly correct
19 to post that this forum is not about light bulbs and to please take this discussion to a lightbulb forum
11 to defend the posting to this forum saying that we all use light bulbs and therefore the posts are relevant to this forum
36 to debate which method of changing light bulbs is superior, where to buy the best light bulbs, what brand of light bulbs work best for this technique and what brands are faulty
7 to post URL's where one can see examples of different light bulbs
4 to post that the URL's were posted incorrectly and then post the corrected URL's
3 to post about links they found from the URL's that are relevant to this group which makes light bulbs relevant to this group
13 to link all posts to date, quote them in their entirety including all headers and signatures, and add "Me too"
5 to post to the group that they will no longer post because they cannot handle the light bulb controversy
4 to say "didn't we go through this already a short time ago?"
13 to say "do a Google search on light bulbs before posting questions about light bulbs"
1 forum lurker to respond to the original post 6 months from now and start it all over again.

But IFLYFISH, I bet you can argue that your post was better than mine!:biggrin:

Only wish I had created that one! If one had the time, there could be major revisions and made even more relevant --- or could make a tag team out of it.

Ok Iflyfish maybe I'll go get a "walker" to keep up with you on "BN." How old are you dude?

See this is a good example of a insult you shouldn't have to put up with. It's not a bad insult, so I could have just ignored it too, and I do often ignore posts, because ignoring a troll does work at times. But I wanted to use this post as an example what I sometimes do when somebody posts a rude remark to you, and you want to respond back without breaking forum rules.

Here I was minding my own business as a newbie here, and giving my 2cents worth of advice on a subject I think I know a great deal about, and here comes Iflyfish to kick sand in my face telling me I don't belong, or can't hang with the members here.

Since I don't know who Iflyfish or most members here. I have to find out something about them to hopefully use against them, and it doesn't take many posts to get a handle of somebody.

In Iflyfish case in less that five posts I found out he had hip replacement surgery. Case close I could probably make 10 jokes about that, and ask him questions like how old is he 80 years?

I find out he is from some place called something like Beaver, Oregon, and he only seems like a part time "expat?

I see he has some "alarmist" positions about Mexico, probably because he reads the stories more often than he lives in Mexico.

I also see he got his panties in a bunch over some Mexican mayor handing out Viagra, and Condoms to the cities citizens. I find that funny, but Iflyfish didn't like it. He probably has a little bit of sexual repression going on cause he is old, and perhaps doesn't like my online personality because of it?

I have enough now to have a field day on Iflyfish, but since it's just a little dumb remark he made. I just using this as example of something I might do to respond back to someone like Iflyfish, and it's something the OP might use next time somebody is trolling him, and he feels like quitting this forum.

It's lack of body language. Newbies haven't gotten to know the personalities yet, so I can see why sometimes things get taken the wrong way. We were all "newbies" once and it has happened to all of us. Well, me at least, way back in the olden days.

don't be fooled people. joejoe is not a newbie. he may be mexicornporn. he may be fulano. he may have just been a long time lurker.
joejoe is not a newbie. he is a master troll, and he potentially is an amusing instigator. joejoe will be fun to have around, until he gets banned some night when he has drunk too much irish courage and has taken to the keyboard to exercise his demons
