If you think Mengano is gone, just take a look at the new members list for 2-6-12 and 2-7-12. Lots of new members on those 2 dates. I'd be very surprized if Fulano wasn't several, if not all of them.

Good one!

Forums are not democracy's, therefore, there is no freedom of speech.

I think, short of personal attack that includes threats of harm, all topics and information should be uncensored.

Someone on this thread mentioned:

"My take is that if someone comes here exclusively to entertain himself at others' expense by manipulating them into reacting with behavior that will feed him attention, that he's sucking off the community."

Psychology 101, if you respond negatively to someone who is "manipulating" you, that is your responsibility, not there's.

So, if someone wants to discuss the underbelly of Baja and you read it and you don't like what you are reading, what do you do?

Kill the piano player or stop reading his threads.

Maybe there should be a function built into the forum that blocks topics from certain members, and in your profile there can be a list of blocked folks so that other members understand who you don't read or respond to?

But not censorship or bannishment

Personally I was hoping for Mengano v David K cage match. I would have paid for that on PPV.

This is Doug's sandbox. That simple. There is plenty of lumber and sand for those who wish to build and run their own. The one thing people seem to agree on about Mengano is they liked the statistics he provided to back up his posts or to refute inaccurate statements made by others. I thought 12,000 expats lived here in Rosarito- Mengano proved it was only 1,624. Stuff like that.

The truth will always find a way to be heard though. always.

Sooner or later the man will end up doing time.

This is little different than the harrassment that employees often undergo from some unhappy individual. Once he's identified he's asked to leave. Companies have laws that prohibit an individual from doing what Mengano has done to this website.

I knew a woman at apple whose advances were rejected by a co worker. So he started sending her anonymous insulting emails. Phone messages were left when she didn't pick up. In the end she was identified and was very fortunate to only be dismissed.

Mengano-fulano-Meknow-Minnow reincarnations here are the same.

I am trying to understand this? So the gal was making advances to a guy, who rejected them and then started hassling her?

I know a lady, at my grocery store here in Phoenix, who had best friends who were shot at on the way to Rocky Point.

Yet, I have not been able to find any articles or facts about a husband and a wife on a Harley being pulled over by banditos and shot at. Probably never happened.

Point, it is like playing Post Office when we were kids, how the story begins and ends are usually two different things.

It's doubtful only 1624 expats lived in Rosarito.

Wooosh how about all those deported felons from the US prisons? Do you think they are counted in that 1624 number?

Many Americans including Mexican-Americans don't either bother with the paper work, and just aren't counted. They are illegal American aliens.

Mengano tried his best to give the impression that Mexico is a really extremely dangerous country just like a war zone, and that Americans were avoiding Mexico because of that danger.

Mengano used to get furious just furious if anybody disagreed with him and didn't share his same fears about Mexico.

Mengano/Fulano would then attack such "Baja Nomad" members by trying to belittle them, and make fun of them. If Mengano/Fulano really got mad. He tried to dig into "Nomad's members backgrounds in order to find any dirt on them, and hopefully embarrassing them in the hope they disappear or never challenge Fulano again. And if Fulano didn't find any dirt on his perceived enemies. He would just make stuff up out of thin air.

To me, that's just beyond the pale, and I question anybody's sanity that defends Mengano/Fulano off the wall antics, threats and trying to out others personal information just because he didn't agree with them or he felt slighted by their remarks.

If they were deported, they probably weren't US expats.

OK Then, Dennis, who is that woman dancing and playing with your monkeys?? Oh yeah, I can hear her singing, ¨Who put the overalls in Mrs. Murphy´s chowder,¨so she clearly is Irish, and a bottle of Buchanan´s in her right hand!!

Really Joe? meknow and minnow too? Am I really that nieve and unobservant? Well, duh.:O

For the record, I'm kinda glad I don't have a fake identity "over there". I got sucked into Pat Chicas' site for a while, and I followed links to the F. Files, otherwise I'm an Amigo de Baja who followed the rest of you over here months after most of you "anchors" had discovered this place. I seldom visit any other Baja site. Thanks Doug!

I guess if Fulano Googled Perry Sims History, looking for dirt, he realized I'm proud of my pages, and hope they will grow.

This venue will still get the news it deserves to know, hopefully, without another reincarnation of "baggage man".

Barn Burners

In the old days they were known as barn burners.

It went as follows. A hired hand on some farm from our past was caught doing something (stealing chickens, I don't know). So he was asked to leave. And he does but he has one final present for his former employer. He sets the barn ablaze.

The smoke is seen from miles around and neighbors appear desperately trying to bring the fire down. After it's all over there are questions about how it started. There were no witnesses and nobody knows for sure. The barn burner is safe.

Mengano has been defecating on this website for years now. For first being dismissed over 10 years ago.

the gringo population of rosarito is probably 1,620 expat retirees, 4 mormon missionaries, and 2 of donald trump's landmen.

the deported felons are not expats because they are mexican (last i heard the USA does not deport citizens, though they should deport one named chuck!:lol: )

The two Trump frontmen left more than three years ago, when the Trump Corp. denied being part of that promotion. I would guess 2k to 3k gringos sin papel in the area.

Sounds like a lot of jealousy going on here. I am glad he brought the news to us...and I am glad he exposed (so to speak) the backgrounds of some of the "nomads" here.
