Do you also suggest to "follow the law" if it was the other direction?
South bound, follow it....northbound don't?
Do I have that right Mama?

[/rquote]Stopping at the border to get a visa, get your passport stamped, is part of the experience of travel.[/rquote]
As far as I know, the FMM is not a visa.
Just want to make sure we’re providing accurate information to new Baja travelers...

Not really a big deal. Just cross when they are open and do the paperwork. Everyone needs to learn how to do it right. No other country in this big
world would be as easy and forgiving as Mexico.
Please don't abuse that kindness.

This nitpicky thread has been dead for almost 10 months and you bring it back with a nitpicky comment???
The point is that following the rules of other countries when travelling is part of the experience, not that a FMM is some sort of visa.

If you want to cross at 2am, you can go to the border the night before and walk across to get the FMMs with everyone, they go to a hotel room in the
USA and rest until 2am and go! This works well for groups crossing early in the morning before INM opens.
