Happy New Year Paulina...remember if you only spend wooden nickels you can only buy glow in the dark undies...just don't show them in Bahia until they are all drunk...

So, who's going to win the next Baja 1000?

This person won the '71 & '72 1000... who can name him?

I took this photo in Nov. 1973, the day before the Baja 1000 started.

Nope, not even IVAN Stewart!

Here's a photo I took of Ivan who just won the Baja 300 in Santo Tomas (Aug., 1975)...

More good news

For the next six months, every day will have a wee bit more day time.

Also, it will be a year before we encounter a day as short as yesterday.

You are so right Mr. Gull

We are on our way back to summer (sigh of relief) For those of us who live up north most of the year ,we can now look forward to longer days again (not necessarily warmer though!) The solar panels at our house ought to work better also! :bounce::bounce::bounce::bounce::bounce:

I won't talk about them. But I spoke too soon. I want to talk about how much we paid for our Christmas trees. I bought one three days ago for $20.00 including one of those stands made of re-bar that goes in a hole drilled in the bottom of the stump.

What a scary thought Dennis!!

Hey, here's a thought-- we could all huddle around our computers atmidnight Dec. 31 and make sure that the 1000th is the first post of 2008.

Who wants to go out dancing in Loreto on New Year's eve anyway?:lol:
