Jusyt spoke to Elizabeth in Loreto again by cell phone. She drove from town to the airport and back early this afternoon to put family on the plane.
She saw no damage on the drive from downtown-- either in town or along the highway.
Alaska flights are coming and going.
Not much consolation to those in Lopez M. and Mulege, but good news for some of us.

I know this is a serious topic about a serious event, but this made me smile:
"It follows the structure of the government. That is, the national leader is the president's wife, the state leader is the governor's wife."
Same with the structure of my family.

Tracking south east. The models still want to pull it westward (blue TD's on the map), but Jimena just does not want to go there. The last green TS
is from around 2:00 PM PDT.

Your link is to La Paz BOLIVIA.
La Paz MEXICO, doesn't even make it in the top 60.

Jesse, it's a figure by *area* not dollars or people which is often quoted.
Anyway, I am interested in population estimates of those affected?
Jesse do you think people in the hillsides of La Paz suffered from the water or low lands?

I really didn't want to start a Wiki-war.. and Taco, much of that movement on the Wundermap is projection; not experience. But it is not unusual for
such weird things to happen. Especially, since this storm is now subject to the vagaries of the upper level wind shear.

MulegeMichael
I have heard that all our houses in the Oassis have water over the roofs. I don't know about you, but we will just clean up and keep going. The good
out weighs the bad. I love Mulege and will not give up. I have not talked to Marv and Cathy since yesterday. If you hear from them or anyone else,
please let me know. We were planning to go down in November, but might go sooner. I feel for the people having to deal with flooding once again.
But remember, they are a great group of neighbors.

Mike, Good to hear from you. Nels and I were not going until November, but with all of this, it might be sooner. Let us know when you plan to travel
to Mulege and please keep in touch. My email is reneske1@gmail.com

Bomberos are organized. Love the Padre but the Church is not set up as an outreach affair, so they set up tables or piles at the Mission and people
(any people) come and take. Best bet is the Bomberos, that's where ours went after John.

Appreciate the Bombero Station was damaged. Perhaps the Rotary Health Clinic would be a viable collection/distribution center for hard-good donations.
I believe Mick Chapman of Cortez Explorers would offer to store things in the back of the dive center as well.

THIS EMAIL CAME TO ME TODAY:
I just got home from work and this email looks like it should be posted in this thread... (sorry to hear of the size of the disaster).
>>>This message is for David K or any other nomad who might want to join my husband traveling down to Mulege to assist Bob and Susan Frambes
with clean up, donations etc.
I really don’t know where to begin, we own property close to Bob and Susan and have been in contact with them concerning the devastation.
My Husband (Greg Davidson) and Son will be heading out ASAP in a 4x4 truck equipped for rugged off roading. We can arrange to meet in San Diego or
any other location with other travelers or people sending donations.
I may be reached at the number below, or my cell (909) 586-4022.<<<
