"I think it would be a whole lot more fun trying to explain a Republican."
The Republican manifesto was displayed in an off-topic thread a few days ago.

They are getting uppity, aren't they. But come to think of it, I've never seen a black man in an Extends commercial; wonder why that is?
Seett: what is "two-eyed" tequila? I went into an upscale tequila bar yesterday and ordered one and they just looked at me as if I were a hick from
the sticks. They must of had over 200 kinds, but no two-eyed.
Does essence predate existence?

Maybe, just maybe, the administrator should close this thread. As I read through the last couple of pages, I was getting the feeling that this was
Skeet against the world. Or vice versa. Give the old guy a break. When this gentleman was growing up, where he grew up, society was SO different. Most
folks seem to never be able to change.

But I am doubtful about what some of their more Left leaning Profs, and researchers came up with.
Look at the changes in some of the Top Universities in this country. Changes are good but when they start trying to change the politics it is going to
cause problems.
A good example I beleive is TV, Interent when they use "Flash Pictures " to sell you something. same in Movies when they move so fast it is difficult
to follow unless you have been trained by the TV. Think about it.
NOw the following example should be looked at closely.
Watch the use of Black Men in TV commercials. There is hardly a commercial with out a Black person being shown..
This is the type thing used by the Media for Global Warming, Overfishing, and things that support their ideas.
Yes there are differences but we must "Give both sides of the Equation"" not just a one sided view.We must teah our Children to Investigate, learn
from all people, not just those College Profs with an Adjenda.

toneart, you may find this interesting. Makes a lot of sense to me. But maybe not.
"liberals and conservatives literally think differently"
[Edited on 12-5-2009 by k-rico] |
Thank you K-Rico!
This certainly makes sense. I posted my own observation months ago that liberals and conservatives "are wired differently". In my today's post I
listed all the environmental causes I could think of, but omitted the obvious cause that your link states. They probably run concurrently.
It certainly seems like conservatives and liberals are watching the same screen but seeing different movies.
I have always tried to put myself in Conservatives' mind in order to try and understand where they are coming from. I am usually successful in
deducing how they arrived at their conclusions, but I find such a cognitive disconnect in their thinking that I am usually astonished at the premise
of their conclusions. Your link confirms that You can't get there from here!

First Skeet, there is no need for me to explain HOW a lightining rod works, or what causes lighting. Those "snotty nosed" scientists figured that out
about the same time you guys finally stopped burning witches.
The question revolves around the common claim that a lightning bolt is an "Act of God", that your temples are commonly called "Houses of God", and the
claim by the bronze-age henchmen who invented your bible that your particular deity is omniscient and omnipotent. To re-phrase the question; why would
an all knowing all powerful deity have a history of blowing the crap out of it's own houses with such frequency that non-sectarian means are necessary
to protect the buildings. It is a legitimate question for any reasonable person, and there is really only one answer.
Got it?
