Thanks, Sancho. Good to hear from you.

I guess the hike to the Buf is postponed for a while, but that doesn't mean I get to sit down more than necessary.

One thing about Bahia Asuncion...

We all know summer is coming...

And we will still be sleeping beneath a blanket.

And yes, the thought of going "inland" is frightening. The gulf coast, unimaginable.

Everyday is the same here.....Zihuatanejo

Judging from the anchored boats it looks like there's a slight west breeze/78*F @ 9AM. Today's job #1 is to watch the clock for 1PM to arrive. 1PM is "FBT" here (First Beer Time)-

ahhhh. Zihuatanejo in July...........

You get wetter out of the ocean than in it....

A short walk from Waldo's around the corner to the bank requires a canteen. And shade trees on the edge of La Comericiales (Mega) parking lot become occupied at 0630 until after sunset.

Seasonal paradise. But after May I don't like the hills surrounding the bay that absolutely chop off the southerly breezes.

All the difference in the world señor motoged!

Much like summer is felt in Bahia Concepcion versus Shell Beach Punta Chivato.

But down there in the summer, outside of cities summer thunderstorms can bring blessed relief - love where I live, a four hour dash up 14-D takes me to Zirahuen and Patzcuaro. From 95F with 80+% R/H to 75F and 50% R/H.

On the peninsula unless a person hikes into the mountains around the cape there is no summer escape. The Vizcaino peninsula, and Baja Blanca's neck of the woods has turned into a viable summer escape hatch to get a little relief.

On a strict budget? Bring a tent.

Blowing like crazy this am in La Paz, blew the patio chairs over and my sat dish is rocking and rolling, winds at about 30 mph, with gusts higher, doors and windows rattling. but temps are fine and expected in low 80's.
