I dont know how adventurous gary is, but its a mess down there. this was taken about the same day he went missing, trying the punta blanca to chapala trail. after digging out we hightailed it back to the coast! hopefully he'll show up soon with some great stories!

Also, for free, Microsoft One Note, offers an easy screen capure which can be saved to your photos and attached and opened in word.

I hope Gary is well.

Latest news is that the family is thinking to hire a plane to fly down the coast.

I gave then the phone contact for the company that does the g negro to ensenada run.

If you have any other suggestions, feel free to post them

If a private pilot (or helicopter) can be found to do the flight, I highly recommend two spotters accompany the pilot — one to check 100 feet out from each side of the highway between San Quintin and BOLA. (Many years ago I too lost a friend who was driving alone and simply disappeared. Her car and body were found several months later off a curve up-side-down in an area not visible from the road.)

I would also post on Baja Bush Pilots and ask that those flying down be on the look-out for the car off the highway. And I would email Aeromedicos and Flying Sams and ask that they do they same.

And I would drive the road very slowly, getting out to check all blind hills and curves on foot. Not an easy or pleasant task, but doing something always is better than feeling hopeless in such emotional circumstances. We will be driving down to Loreto next week and we will be extra vigilant.

For some years now, only Baja Bush Pilot members have been able to post on Baja Bush Pilots message board... or even look at their forums... So, hopefully a BBP member pilot who is also a Nomad will step up?

chartering a plane in Guerrero Negro would be your best bet to cover the territory you need and having 2 spotters is essential to make the most of the flight.

Check for sightings with all employees at the gas stations:
in town in Guerrero Negro; at the entrance to town north of the military installation (if it is open); and the last one north of Guerrero Negro before heading to Cataviña.

Manuel has his family all over that area and they are the ones with the tip. Ruben and Jaziel (sp) are plastering the place with the flyers.
