I was talkin' about the gas in the fire you tossed.

or in plain english,

your flaming words

You are right Gull, I don't know you but when you interject retort as you did I am inclined to think negative thoughts . Isn't that why you said that?
*******************************************

As for the accuracy of where, how and everything else in between about me, you don't know diddly squat. Ditto about you.

Your inuendo and comments about sexuality is a good example of your writings. Somehow you have construed this thread to become one of a personal battlefield for yourself. If you look at your posts here they are full of hatred. Why else would you talk that way? Especially when you know very little about myself other than writing your mean spirited hypothetical wonderings. Just because you play golf?

Aft! :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Gull, I think you're right !!

I woke up early this morning to the patter of RAIN, something I don't get to hear that often in our desert southwest !!

Looking at the board, I see Gull posting on the golf channel?
I say , worth a view, since I am not a golfer---- Might learn something?
Well, all I ever needed or will need to know bout golf in Baja is right here in this post . Thanks guys !!!!

Shark, one thing---climb back into your cave and grab another hand full of berries and roots. Oh!! You don't live in a cave and haven't had any roots lately?? What about that enviromental damage that you have caused ? Where do you park your cart? Concrete or asphalt ??

Guess I will have to have your green friend give you some tips as soon as the al bore private jet lands.

You know I am beginning to think to many of us are being motivated by the 'post count race.' It is starting to look like the body counts that came out of Vietnam.

I like to have people read my stuff but, really, what is the use of a count race when all it does in lose the reason for the thread and go off in so many directions that even the orginator of the thread has difficulty remember what he had in mind when he/she started.

Wait a minute I gotta scroll back up to the beginning to see what I am supposed to be addressing. Oh! Heck I can't just jump back to the top!

Now I remember---Something about golf OR was it golf courses???? Anyway six pages devoted to holes and little white walls--Could this really indicate a sexual hang up as intimated by someone.

Really enjoyed the thing about feeding the animals rather that trapping them. I love fuzzy little bunnies--but not snakes.

Guess I went down one of those paths that lead nowhere--also, too and along with most of the rest of you.

Let's all work real hard and strive for 5,000 posts--Doug can you make this simple and just install a repeat button.

Since yer droppin' "bird bombs" lets look closer shall we.

your first reply after lurking on the thread:

"Dear hypocrites, save the coast, save the animals, save the world, log off your computer, recycle it and die as you eat roots & berries that you forage as you shiver to death in the dark.

Personally, I don't have time for all that earth-saving BS, I have a tee time on my local coastal course. I will drink lots of beer thinking of some of you and while on the course, I will be relieving myself of all that beer burden, thinking of the others on this board."

-----------------

While your message is awesome and profound you obviously *********************** got peed off. Do you always enter discussions this way.
I am still confused however.
Telling someone to shiver to death in the dark (or go get laid)is OK to you to say on your first reply or any replys for that matter?

I still think it's an aristocratic sport

I still think most people who play have lots of money.

I still think they belong inland.

I still think they use too much land and water

I still am judgemental about where they are located

*******************************

You go on later to claim I live in "hick" country? That the good people from Bandon are excluded? Why? Because they live on the foggy, windy coastline with beautiful golf courses? Are they any more special in Bandon?

I have news for you.

Instead of only golfing on the Oregon Coast why not go inland where "real" folks live and raise their families. Maybe you would like some of them, maybe not.

For someone who professes to have international sauvie you sure are condemming and extremely good at labeling people who you know not.

Maybe the golfers dislike my post but you my friend have insulted the whole state of Oregon.

I will admit I did make generalizations albeit they were prompted by zealous posting.

Your lamblasting and characterizations of me are entirely off-base and I suppose some of my comments were too. But, unlike you Gull, my sweeping generalizations don't cross the threshhold of the original post material, i.e golfing. Yours most certainly do.

The issue was about location and not intended to be an attack on golfers themselves.

By the way what kind of word is self-engrandizement?

Shark, I am telling you. There are a lot of great golf designers out there who are very sensitive to ecological areas. There are courses even in Irvine CA, that if you hit a ball into a "sensitive area" you CANNOT go in there and get it and they really inforce it.. I know there are some bad ones as well, but please don't label everyone. The best golf courses in world, look like they were just "set" into the natural landscape. I think even you would enjoy walking around some of these golf courses.....

Especially when the place is near millions of people.

I think this is thread dead on the vine too. Gnight. Thanx for hearin'.
:light:Why don't you try that tactic in Baja? You know, write a few letters to the editors, maybe start a petition or two? How 'bout a sit-in or a circle-jerk down at the Governor's office? Maybe lay in front of a 'dozer or two? I'll bet those golf courses won't bother you as much once you have been deported, eh?

Face it, it's not your country. And all this wasted whining won't change a thing.

if you want to race go ahead . I could care less about how many posts some one has. I post when I feel like it and when I don't feel like it I don't . I like to answer questions when I know some thing . and I like to joke with my friends that I have made here. :O

personally I think Doug should take off 10 posts every time some one misspells a word . that would put me some where around mines 3000 or more.:lol::lol:

Why are you so interested in everyones count?:?:

have a good day on me:light:

Hey you guys, simmer down. As an immigrant ,many, many years ago,I also thought golf, and tennis for that matter, were elitists sports. As I made my way in north american society, as a down at the bottom worker, I made my way up the ladder, and a friend of mine introduced me to golf and it didn't take long to get me hooked. I agree, that as a sport it needs a lot to be desired . Should be more like a passtime. But you meet lots of nice folks that play about the same as you do, and also shouldn't be called golfers, but who the sh.t cares. I live right on the course here in Nopolo ( Loreto Bay ) watch all the duffers and enjoy the hell out of it. As long as they don't knock the balls through my windows. ( Happened twice so far
) And as far as widlife, there is lots of it here. Even a big rattle snake in my back yard. Felt bad I had to kill it because of my dog and cat.
