Awesome photo. Years ago, the Clam Man taught me how to grill clams, which I still do today.

The last time I saw him (obviously many years ago), he was walking down the beach in SF, selling clams, saying "Surprise! I'm not dead yet ..."

I remember driving into San Felipe (late 1970's) and he would wave to everyone as they passed his 'clam shack', sitting in his barber chair... San Felipe's official greeter!

Ken,

This is exquisite. One of the finest images of baja I have ever seen on this website. I can't remember a better image than this. Would love to enjoy seeing a larger version of this. This is downright inspiring. After concluding that the best way to film baja's landscapes with strong saturated colors, up shows this image and dispels all my theories.

A fine image ... just fine.

Anyone can catch fish in a boat but only \"El Pescador Grande\" can get them from the beach.

I hope when my time comes the old man will let me bring my rod and the water will be warm and clear.

Road drag. This works on the Pt.Chivato road and I've seen other places that use similar drags. This one is in need of repair. Photo taken in 2013 and has been upgraded.
