I like the idea of the Beach bikers doing fund raising instead of just getting hand outs...gets them involved in making their club a success and good
to cooperate on activities to bring the club together...way to go blanca!

I am not sure of the exact number right now---a couple have moved out of town and there are some quite new members. I will ask Chayo, the senior
member. We saw him the other day when we delivered some parts that they paid for but he was not feeling well---he and one of our new really good
riders missed Vizcaino as they were ill. And we have not been here for the events this year.
They also fund raise---food sales at events, T-shirt sales, and more. And some individual members have worked for us to earn new helmets. It is a
good thing for them to participate. As I shared with you before, you are running your team, we are just supporters, and the team is run by the
members.
We donate what we can, but we cannot pay for it all. They pay for what they can. Maybe some other property owners around here will get involved---it
really is fun and they are good people.
Oh their name is Lobos Marinos and their logo is really cute---a Sea Lion riding a bike.

Hello and thanks to all of you for writing and keeping me updated...
Shari - we did a carwash ALL DAY and I can hardly walk, I am sooooooo tired !!!! Me and another mom worked with them ... these kids have never washed
cars and were having more fun than washing - which is good but still - people want their cars washed !!!! And they were going to send them back
substandard - so we had alittle talk about quality control
Another teacher named Valentin has offered to take them on a long bike ride next Saturday - they will work on resistance techniques !! Very cool
Diana - they will soon be on their own. This is so new to La Bocana that I am helping them get support from the community and then I will let them
fly. My goal is to start a skateboard team, a canoe/kayak team, a windsurf team....I have huge goals dreams wishes for these kids
BajaCat - Ernesto is nice, YOU are nice, your brother in law is nice ... and so far ALL BAJA NOMADERS have been absolutely outstanding and I am proud
to have the sticker on our truck
OK .... we have gotten all the bikes across the border, time to start collecting again .... we really need bike race gloves, maybe someone has an "in"
?

| Not really, you probably know more of my country than me. I just started travelling like 10 years ago, I
learn about that when i came to the states, while in MX I only travel to Ensenada and Guadalajara and thats it...but there is no stopping me now, i
want to go to Europe in 2 years... next year will be Sierra San francisco paintings and SAn Ignacio whale tour mostly Baja, Im to scare to do trip in
main land MX,my guess is im a easy target due to the bad guys speak fluent spanish, and for tourist they have to learn english,....I will check your facebook...

today is going to be a big day as Baja Blanca will be arriving in Asuncion with the Bocana Bike Team. Every expat here (and some who arent here) has
responded to the call and will be helping out on this event...nomads tiomiguel and Birdog have donated thier homes for accomodation, Campo Sirena will
be the site of the BBQ for the visiting teams and hopefully the local club will be present as hosts. Food and beverages will be donated thanks to
laurieboats, the plant guy, zoe and our family...Adrian will be head chef. We hope to foster goodwill between the teams by organizing fun activities
and food for them the day before the race.
We had a strategy meeting last week with Shayo, the club leader to discuss ways to get the community more involved (not just expats) in helping out
the local club and fund raising. This weekend's activities are a new approach and we will see if it works out. A big thanks to all of you who are
helping out this weekend.

Great job Shari. I wish the race was last weekend so I could have helped out. I donated a new hydration pack to a kid while I was down and he was
pretty excited. I was really hoping for a car wash, though, as my truck was filthy. Have a great time tomorrow. If the team ever gets shirts made,
let me know and I'll buy a bunch.

Good to see you have been motivated to get involved with the local bike clubs.
And for anyone interested in creating a new set of t-shirts to sell, this is what the other ones look like. This is their official logo and the logo
is also on the front. The ones we bought are gray. Sorry we don't have a better picture.

Lol!! Yes little tiny baby ones!!
We are pleased to say the La Bocana team has arrived safe and sound and settled in to the house just a while ago, they are out exploring and hopefully
meeting new friends and later on we'll set up the BBQ!
Aaaah Good times!
We are expecting the Guerrero Negro team to arrive later on so they can do a test run of the bike path, they all look super excited and are really
nice kids! Can't wait to see them all mingle.

Great to hear that you are enjoying getting involved with the bike clubs. They are really good people.
This rider is one of our favorites from the Guerrero Negro team---hope she is still competing.
Have fun.

I'm here to say the BBQ was good food and great fun, and the lineup for food was l-o-n-g! Lot's of kids jiggling and squirming and playing with bikes
and all the usual things kids find to do. A lot of parents came along to help with food and oversee the activities. I was tickled to see the young
teenagers going from person to person to shake hands and say hello. I'm looking forward to seeing the competition tomorrow and sharing in more fun.
Shari is on snapshot duty, so there will be plenty of pictures to follow.
