hmmm...we are a few hours away but would be happy to put up the family in a house here so mom or whomever can come and pick them up at their
leisure...how to get them here may be tricky???? We only have a small pick up and the family wouldnt fit...or maybe someone could get them to the
hotel in Sta.Rosalillita or my husband's cousin there...it is very easy to be picked up there.

Yea Shari,
Wonderful offer and possibly the key to the problem, i.e. get them out in stages. That's just what we were thinking about...with our friends there
and others coming, surely there must be a way.

Another dos centavos for folks living in Baja California
This family for all intents and purposes is as vulnerable as it gets. For decades bad hombres have used rural areas for hangout and "recreation". If
information should reach the wrong ears I shudder at what could take place. Please keep this in mind and keep bi-lingual chisme (gossip) under close
wraps. This is not directed at anyone but offered as general advice.

If you guys can get them to Santa Rosalillita its all paved road back home, if their mother is capable of driving the main highway down. The "good"
graded road to Cono is a washboard nightmare now and negotiating the roads out to the point where the're stranded is tricky for the unititiated. I
certainly wouldn't send her out there with no experience.

Mula,
Lea's mom is in San Diego so we were thinking if there was service from somewhere she could fly there and then to Guerrero; not unlike trying to fly
to Loreto these days.
Once there she could get a taxi to Sta. Rosalilita and connect with Mario or the cousin that Shari mentioned.

i believe there is a small charter airline office in GN. They fly in people to whale watch and for fishing trips.

I think the best plan is for mom to drive down to Sta.Rosalillita or Nuevo Rosarito on the highway...a taxi to Rosalillita would be super expensive
and then what? Or why cant they just get on the bus at Punta Prieta and go north that way? Mom can paypal the ticket money to someone who can pay the
ticket??? just thinking out loud here

Having Lea and the kids get on the bus at Pta. Prieta seems like the simplest solution of all...for sure.
With her mom still wanting to come down the communication lag is a problem...who's where when doing what, etc.

I agree with the bus idea...it is a matter of finding out when the bus passes there and waiting at the restaurant...I can call and have the bus stop
there whenever they get there...then mom gets a call and she can meet them in San Ysidro...or TJ...she can get a cab to the TJ bus depot to meet
them...whatever works...I'll U2U me cel #.

This news just came to me from Bill at Cardon:
Bruce- saw the boat people today and they are doing fine. William says they should be ready to roll in a week. They are waiting for some plywood,
fiberglass and resin to finish repairs. Lea said to tell her mom to stay put. I also told Lea that they can cross with birth certificates with no
problem. Mario dropped off water and groceries yesterday so they seem to be fine. Bill

agreed. my guess is the repairs won't be all that great and that they will have the same scenario-or something similar- further on down the coast.
they were lucky this time, perhaps not so the next time. get 'em out asap i say.
