I mentioned already that it's scheduled for Monday.

Unfortunately, the choir decided to dress up like politicians and claim to have all the answers.

Problem with Dk's arguement is the use of "we lost", the "enemy Senate", etc. He attacks an idea based on the party instead of the idea. When Universal healthcare was backed by the republicans, I'm certain he was for it.

I have a hard time discussing a topic when all one wants to do is use sound bites from their party of choice. Instead, I prefer to engage with people who think through an idea and are open to change their opinion based on new knowledge or information.

To merely say it always "their" fault is short sighted and ignorant. Unfortunately that is what today's politicians have brought us. There is no discourse or discussion.

Okay, I'll let the chest-pounding continue....

Check again. more debt in 3 years than all of the other presidents combined? The national debt tripled under Reagan and has gone up 50% under Obama.

The Treasury Department’s “Debt to the Penny” Web site makes it easy to track the growth of the national debt during Obama’s presidency. There are two key figures — for publicly held debt and for gross debt, which includes bonds that the government owes to itself (such as Social Security trust fund bonds.)

As of Jan. 20, 2009, the publicly held debt was $6.31 trillion and the gross debt was $10.63 trillion. As of May 14, 2012, the publicly held debt was $10.92 trillion and the gross debt was $15.68 trillion.

So, the publicly held debt has grown by $4.61 trillion, and the gross debt has grown by $5.05 trillion. Thus it’s certainly correct that the national debt has grown by about $5 trillion under Obama.

and looking at all the debt added by all previous presidents makes the number 5 times that (remember some of that debt was paid down over the years).

Debt is a problem for sure but Just trying to keep the facts straight.

One party believes free people are what makes America grow and prosper.

The other party believes a government agency must take more and more from a once prosperous people and decide where to spend that money in order to remain in power by creating a dependency state...

I have NEVER been hired by a poor person.

When government is cut and people keep more of their money (freedom), America prospers... more pay taxes, and the budget can balance.

Why are you not working if you never ben hired by a POOR person . I hear the rich are getting Richer or is that just a myth.:?::?::?::?:

Gentlemen, control yourselves. This thread has gone way off track.

Be patient, maybe Bajaboy will give us an update on the welding job by end of Monday.

It isn't isolated with a few making bad decisions, the whole country is suffering and we are WORSE off than 3 1/2 years ago.

Thank God that I had a great run from 1980 to 2008 to build my business, in order to raise my kids from 1988 to 2008 when both had reached 18.

Blaming others again....instead of the banking industry. Geeze...and if your business did so well after 28 years of all that hard work you must be retiring about now. Right?
