Pulp Fiction. Spoken by Butch (Bruce Willis) in reference to the recently deceased owner of a chopper. Here's my favorite line from that movie:

Wish that I had photos, but I've never learned to post them...oh well, My rig is a Voodoo Blue 2008 Toyota FJ Cruiser with all the bells and whistes...rock rails, skid plates, roof rack, inclinometer etc....I added my Baja Nomad sticker and "The lower the Latitude, The better the Attitude" license plate frame....I call him B.O.B. which stands, of course, for Baja or Bust!
My husband has a 2001 Jeep which he fortified with a 4 inch lift kit and 33 inch tires....I have dubbed him A.L.....or Alto Loco...Spanish for "Crazy Tall"....I can't even climb into the darn thing without a step ladder

Whenever I hear that rainy, chill wind blow. I think it may be time to head for Mexico. Tengo que obedecer mi corazon!

Casey67,
You will do just fine almost everywhere with that Grand Vitara. A good friend had one fixed up like yours. If they just had bigger wheelwells....

DanO wins the "Royale with Cheese" prize. Skipjack, not even close. We'll have to "send some pipe wieldin' brothers to get medievel on you". Sorry, more quotes from Pulp Fiction.

BAHADOG, let's us drive non-stop from Northern California to Baja. Can carry 7 riders and seven bikes. We typically leave up here about 6:00 PM, put's us through LA past midnight when traffic is light, at the border at daybreak.

Chase Trucks? ??
We don\'t need no stinking chase trucks!

The UGLY truck. Somewhat low miles for the age, maintained and runs well, just looks ugly. Dents, scratches and rust helps, IMHO, keep thieving types from taking a second look.

Is that a 302 in that "pizza" (pizzaschit) truck?

XLT Lariat? '92?

Fine baja machinery. Really.

XLT Lariat '90 460

It does have legroom, I'm 6'6" and have two taller kids. I'd never be able to sleep in the bed of a Tacoma.

And it gets me around a little better than this

One of the problems with message boards, humor doesn't always come through. The author himself said it was an ugly truck and I was reminded of earlier threads about "pizza" trucks, which I thought was funny. I'm all for old Fords in Baja, drive one myself. Lots of parts, they're known to mechanics, low profile, no great loss if they're banged up, wrecked or stolen, etc. etc. I'm from the "car repairs are better than car payments" school of thought. Heck, mine still has the wrong sized (too small, but the only one immediately available) used alternator a mechanic in Ciudad Constitucion spliced in three years ago. The taped up wires are doing just fine.

Long live old Fords!!
