Have you ever been to get your hair cut at the local beauty shop? There is this Asian lady in my neighborhood - Carol - and she does nails and hair and eyebrows and I don't know what else. But anyway, I stopped going to my regular barber because he is on an Oxygen Bottle and it just bugs the hell out of me to have him doing Darth Vader while he is cutting my hair. So I go in this neighborhood 'beauty' salon place and ask If I can get a hair cut. The owner lady, Carol, says "you sit ova daya in da chaya". So a couple minutes later she is done torturing one Mexican lady with three bored kids and comes over to me. "Wha chu wan?" I reply "I want the seven dollar haircut." She says "OK, wha chu wan I do?" I said "It's real easy, number four on top and three on the sides".

So she is off to the races and turns my chair back to face the rest of the torture shop, I mean salon. There are two other women lying back in chairs that I thought were getting their hair done. Upon closer inspection I observed something I hope I never see again. One of the young ladies sitting back in the chair was having some paste applied to her forehead. As I sat there stunned, an older Asian woman pulled gently at the corner of one of this gals eyebrows which was covered in this pasty stuff which had become hard. In one horrific instant the old Asian woman ripped a four inch strip of this pasty stuff off this woman's head and removed her Unibrow. I mean the white stuff came off with almost as much hair as I have on my entire head in less than a micro second.

Now I have seen some cruel stuff in my time, but dude that was so far over the top I almost launched out of my chair. The physical pain must have been rediculous for that young lady and she didn't make a sound. I am all for cultural experiences, but no freekin way am I going back in there. She finished my buzz, I paid my ten bucks and said "keep the change." Never again. I am finding someplace else with a little less hair ripping going on.

I can't believe this thread is stilling bouncing all over the place. It's time to get it back on topic...so here goes:

Ok...all you people who insist on wearing birkenstocks, especially while flaunting those kangaroo pouches around your waist, you are just asking to be robbed in Tijuana or Rosarito. If it happens, it's really no one's fault but your own.
