So after 8 pages I opened the thread to see what it was about. 8 pages of nonsensical drivel. No, "fossil fuels ... are the sole culprit in any rising sea levels." No, the photos do not depict any mid-February beach in San Diego. No, CNN and MSNBC are not those who actually measure and analyze. Yes, the north pole is melting - undisputable. Yes, some places on earth are actually being covered in ocean water, and not in a seasonal, high tide kinda way. And for all you who think that a beach in Baja California is the Supreme Measuring Stick of global weather phenomenon and effects thereof, you're truly looking at the world in rose colored glasses, with a myopic view. How can any of you deny that PEOPLE on EARTH are responsible for certain effects of their existence. You truly think that cutting down a forest will have no effect? That spewing stuff in the atmosphere - similar to a volcano - will have no effect? Etcetera, etcetera. So many effects, no many mistakes, so much denial, so much selfishness, so much ignorance. I regret opening the thread - only underscores the ignorance of mankind, which is what I worry about.

Yes it's so sad so many "deniers" here are basing global warming, on their own personal anecdotal evidence that there is no such thing as global warming because the ocean level has not risen in their own backyard since they could remember, or they claim, global warming is not real, because some right-wing tabloid known for it's BS articles, said it's not real, and the deniers something search the internet to find some hired gun loon who is on Exxon or the Koch brothers payroll, who also claim global warming is not real, but provide no real evidence or their own studies to back up their retarded theories that global warming is not caused by mankind.

And then there is DaliDali, and Chucky......how sad.

The evidence of damaging global warming is "incontrovertible," and it's mostly man made the last 200 years or so.

I was hoping someone would setup an internet camera on the tree so we could keep track of it at low tide and high tide. Maybe add a temp gauge and recorder. Any taker? Joe, Goat anyone else.

It is reaching celebrity status with over 160 replies and almost 4000 views.

George Carlin had it figured out when he said (some words changed for the faint-hearted):

"We’re so self-important. So arrogant. Everybody’s going to save something now. Save the trees, save the bees, save the whales, save the snails. And the supreme arrogance? Save the planet! Are these people kidding? Save the planet? We don’t even know how to take care of ourselves; we haven’t learned how to care for one another. We’re gonna save the flockin’ planet? And, by the way, there’s nothing wrong with the planet in the first place. The planet is fine. The people are flocked! Compared with the people, the planet is doin’ great. It’s been here over four billion years The planet isn’t goin’ anywhere, folks. We are! We’re goin’ away. Pack your chit, we’re goin’ away. And we won’t leave much of a trace. Thank God for that. Nothing left. Maybe a little Styrofoam. The planet will be here, and we’ll be gone. Another failed mutation, another closed-end biological mistake."
