Starlink Mexico

Just ordered the Starlink Mini in Mexico using a BCS address from the Starlink website.

4999 pesos for the hardware
1045 pesos unlimited data monthly fee

What a deal!

My Citibank Mastercard wasn't accepted.
My Fidelity debit card wasn't accepted.

But...........

Bingo! My Bank of America debit card worked fine.

Weird.

If you don't succeed at first, try, try again.

Wow, now that’s a deal. Does this allow you to use it in an RV while traveling? Also what store did you buy it at?

Can you confirm that you are getting the mini dish and not the standard? That hardware price is exceptional but starlink lists the residential plan at 1045 and the roam plan at 1650.

Also the US starlink website specifically says that the mini is not available in Mexico.

Really interested in what you are getting as I would like to get the mini but have not been able to order from the Mexico starlink website. Buying in the US is not an option if it can't be activated in Mexico.

Dont look for mexico sales offers on usa website, try the mexico website for starlink :light:
they are selling the mini; and offer monthly plans of 800 to 1650 per month.

I'm getting the mini.

Go to starlink.com, select Mexico using the globe symbol in the upper right, click order residential, enter a Mex address (I entered Mulege, BCS, Mexico, the option came up in a drop-down box as I started typing "Mulege" and I selected the option). Click Pedir Ahora. The next page gives you the option of selecting Standard or Mini equipment. A more exact delivery address is entered during the ordering process.

There are two service options: Residential - 1045 pesos, and Residential Lite - 800 pesos.

I think starlink.com is a somewhat confusing website. But so far, so good. I created an account and have been getting emails about the order and delivery status.

BTW, amazon.com.mx is selling the mini for 12,600 pesos, not 4999. I think it is using American prices on the Mexican website.

Just received a DHL tracking number. The hardware is in Mexico City on its way to La Paz.

Thanks. I found it. I was looking at the roam plan and that would only show me the standard kit. Yet the mini came up under the residential plan.

Not sure if this helps, but --

Home Depot Mexico is selling both sizes of Starlink antennas. I was in Home Depot, La Paz, yesterday and there was a pallet of each size antenna right in the entrance area. No need to ship to a Mexican address. Just walk in and buy.

We are not in the market for Starlink and really do not know much about it but Home Depot appears to offer another option to acquire it.

As far as I understand, there are no roaming plans available in Mexico for the mini, yet. Only residential at this time. They do have roaming plans for the standard hardware.

The mini is a good deal at Home Depot, $4,999 same as direct from Starlink.

The standard is $7,599 at Home Depot, but they have been selling it for $5,599 direct from Starlink.
