2025 Update of the Baja Bound Road Guide (Norte & Sur)

Hello Amigos,
Even if the guide never gets printed, I have been making edits to reflect changes I have learned of or experienced on my trips of 2019 and 2022.
If you have seen the road guide previously, I think you will like the new way it looks, with larger pages and sharper images and text.
So far, other than one page, all of the north state road logs' appearance is updated.

The Baja Sur road logs follow, but they are not yet converted to new, lager format:

Baja Sur pages are now all done...

As I continue to complete this on my own, I will add page numbers and fill in the Contents and Map List with the page numbers. I also will create an index... which is a lot of work!

The guide was originally something I made as a thank you to Baja Bound for hiring me to research locations for their online, interactive map with photos. That gave me a lifetime of desire to travel as much as I could (in one year) collecting data on the peninsula we all love. Baja Bound was going to have a professional person put my road logs into book form and publish it.

Alas, Covid came along and disrupted the project! Then, after that was over we were having communication difficulties with the professional person. Rather than all my work go to waste, I have begun sharing samples of it the past year... still hoping it would be published.

Thanks to a computer wiz here on Nomad, and my editing, the 2025 version of this 2018 Road Guide is now all ready for viewing.

Thank you for everything you do David, I hope it gets published.

In that pre-Google Earth and social media epoch, The Code was adhered to. It was based on a simple verity: if a locale had been transformational for you, and you had put the hard yards in to get there and to learn it, to know it, why in gods name would you broadcast the news, thus ruining the future experience not only for yourself, but for future adventurers?

I very much appreciate that, thank you.
This morning, I made more small edits to how the page looks. Some of the maps have a lot of blank space around them. Some of the header lines needed adjusting. Another issue is that I am working on, is that the guide pages appear different on a phone than they do on a desktop monitor. Trying to find a happy medium between the two.

Anyway, I am so happy you are enjoying this preview of a possible book.
