Tijuana border viaduct
Just drove under that project a couple weeks ago.
Been a long time since I last crossed at TJ, since we moved to Arizona we generally cross at Mexicali, or possibly at Tecate
But, the construction looked a bit chaotic
Reading on line today that the project is apparently at least a year behind schedule, maybe a couple years in some opinions.
The scariest part....... who wants to be riding that roller coaster during the next big earthquake?????

The Mexican Ministry of National Defense (SEDENA) is leading the building of the elevated highway that will run from Playas de Tijuana to the airport.
In addition to the elevated roadway there are tunnels going through hillsides. I don't know where the intermediate on and off ramps will be.
Also, SEDENA completed the rehabilitation of the San Antonio de los Buenos Wastewater Treatment Plant earlier this year. The treatment plant is about
6 miles south of the border near Punta Bandera.

We have been observing the construction since they started. Chaotic indeed. There have been times where they had huge amounts of manpower and
machinery. I look forward to its completion as it should reduce some of the traffic on the Libre to Rosarito.

Absolutely no BMPs for erosion control while building that thing has meant some
serious sediment issues flowing into the Tijuana River Valley.
