La Comisión de Asuntos Económicos del Congreso de la Unión consideró procedente la proposición con punto de acuerdo presentada por el Senador
Homero Davis Castro, para exhortar a #SADER y #CONAPESCA a incorporar, en el Programa Nacional de Infraestructura de la Calidad 2026, la revisión y
actualización de las Normas Oficiales Mexicanas relacionadas con el aprovechamiento sustentable de túnidos, camarón y pesca deportiva-recreativa.
La propuesta, enmarcada en los compromisos internacionales de México como la Agenda 2030 de la ONU para el Desarrollo Sostenible, busca atender el
rezago normativo pesquero que no ha sido modificado desde 2013.
En el caso de los túnidos, se señaló la ausencia de límites claros de extracción y zonas de restricción, lo que ha permitido la operación de
embarcaciones pesqueras cerca de la costa, con impactos negativos en corales, arrecifes y otras especies. La propuesta plantea establecer una franja
de al menos 50 millas náuticas donde no se permita la pesca con redes de cerco.
Respecto al camarón, se consideró que la actual prohibición de pesca de arrastre en profundidades menores a 5 brazas (9.14 metros) es insuficiente
para proteger a poblaciones juveniles, proponiéndose el establecimiento de zonas específicas o una profundidad mínima más amplia para el uso de
redes de arrastre.
En el ámbito de la pesca deportiva-recreativa, se destacó la falta de regulación en tallas mínimas de captura y límites
cuantitativos, particularmente en la pesca de orilla. Se plantea que la NOM correspondiente defina criterios técnicos sobre tallas, límites de
captura, mecanismos de verificación y el uso obligatorio de caña, carrete y señuelos artificiales.
Con este punto de acuerdo, el Congreso busca impulsar un marco regulatorio moderno y sustentable que garantice la conservación de los recursos
marinos y la competitividad de las actividades productivas del sector.
Siguiendo las indicaciones del Gobernador del Estado, Víctor Manuel Castro Cosío; el FONMAR dirigido por Martín Inzunza Tamayo, ha colaborado con
las iniciativas presentadas tanto en la Cámara de Diputados como en la Cámara de Senadores, para fomentar la actualización del marco nacional
pesquero hacia una actividad responsable, sustentable y que proteja a las especies destinadas de manera exclusiva para la pesca deportiva.

fishing with netting is not allowed.
Regarding shrimp, the current ban on drag fishing at depths less than 5 arms (9.14 meters) was considered insufficient to protect juvenile
populations, proposing the establishment of specific areas or a wider minimum depth for the use of drag nets.
In the realm of sport-recreational fishing, the lack of regulation in minimum catch sizes and quantitative limits was
highlighted, particularly in shore fishing. It is proposed that the relevant NOM defines technical criteria on sizes, catch limits, verification
mechanisms and mandatory use of rod, reel and artificial lures.
With this point of agreement, Congress seeks to promote a modern and sustainable regulatory framework that ensures the conservation of marine
resources and the competitiveness of the productive activities of the sector.
Following the instructions of the Governor of the State, Víctor Manuel Castro Cosío the FONMAR led by Martín Inzunza Tamayo, has collaborated
with initiatives presented both in the House of Deputies and the House of Senators, to promote the update of the national fishing framework towards a
responsible, sustainable and protective activity to the species intended exclusively for sport fishing.
