road to laguna hanson.
Hey every one, great website you have here I'd like to head up to
laguna hanson via hwy 3 coming from Ensenada. I understand the winter rains were quite heavy here and I'm wondering what shape the dirt road
heading up to the parque is in? I'll be driving a 4wd Ford ranger that has Toyo Hyparadial Lt 235/75r15 tires on it. Bringing extra gas and a good
spare of course Any suggest will be appreciated.

I could say trade the Ford for a Toyota... But, that wouldn't be very nice way to welcome a new Nomad!
Glad you found us Pokey, please tell us why Baja has captured your soul or infected your brain?
Oh, I bet the road to LH is just fine from Hwy. 3, as it is a popular weekend retreat with many... most without 4WD...

Looks allright. Is it a 6 cylinder? I could imagine a 4 cylinder tailing behind the big rigs en route from Ensenada, up the big grade into the Sierra
Juarez area. But I've done it, and many other questionable parts of Baja in a 4 cylinder Montero(2.6 liter). Of course, it ultimately sucked the life
out of the poor thing. If yours is a 4 cylinder, expect better gas mileage of course, but a slower drive up the grades and steeper unpaved sections
along the way.(4X4 would help some on the steeper unpaved portions, if it is only a little 4 cylinder.)
