Scroll down to bottom of the web page and see the date of 2001. I think that the info is a little dated and the plan although not TOTALLY abandoned
has been scaled back considerably. The plan is a Fox thing and maybe it will die a slow death after the next election?? Hope so!

In real life
the Escalera Nautica project is childsplay compared to what is really going on down here. And this is the development of the entire coastline of
Baja Norte y Sur by gringos and canadians. This project is alive and well and it isn't happening at a Mexican pace either.
There are so many realtors moving down here it's incredible. And they are all busy making lots of money.
Baja, orange county is a little more accurate these days for those who like to say that Baja starts for them at whatever spot on the peninsula.
I'd say that if this keeps up at the rate it's going, you will find more authenticity at Olvera Street rather than having to deal with what these 2
states are turning into!

I used to love going to Olvera Street for the food and little toys Mum and Pop would buy us! I was just down there a few years ago...nothing
changed...but prices!
In 1781, 44 settlers of mixed Spanish, Indian, and African descent staked out turf for the pueblo that would become Los Angeles. The city's birthplace
Olvera Street is the site of the oldest existing residence in Los Angeles, the 1818 Avila Adobe

On the main page on the left hand side below Escalera Nautica and just above the clock there is the flag of the P-nche gringos who are apparently
pulling the wool over the hapless Mexicans who are selling all thier land to the brutal developers who are destroying thier pristine countryside all
the while they (the landowners/Mexicans) are totally obsolved of any and all blame for the rampant and overblown development of thier country. It is
sad that the Mexican landowners and the people of Mexico are being fleeced by the P-nche gringos and Canadiens and have no idea what it is they are
doing to themselves the poor souls.
Click on the english just next to the flag of the P-nche gringo and you will get the P-nche gringo language version.

Taxes
Change
Death
Three things you can always count on.
The government of Mexico is responsible for all that bad development, not P-nche gringos like me.
