Small World department

I was sitting at the diesel pump in my home town an hour ago when a nice looking Baja rig pulled in and the driver commented on my VGABNDO license plate. Within minutes we had determined that I was having a delightful meeting with Baja Nomad El Jefe and his charming wife passing through Mt. Shasta on their way north from their East Cape home.

It was just too cool to keep to myself.

Paula and Tom (El Jefe) are really NICE people! Paula produced a movie "The Healer's Son" a few years ago and Tom had a part in it...

Those two must have Nomad magnets. I ran into them in a store last year. They recognized the Baja Books and Maps decals on our car and came back into the store and walked around saying...Judy, Judy? Yes, very nice people and I am happy to have them as almost neighbors.

Hey, finally got a chance to log on up in Sacramento area visiting my son, D-in-law and grandkids. We got a kick out of meeting Vagabundo in the gas station. He sure lives in a beautiful spot at the foot of Shasta.

We are wondering how our place did in the storm as we live about five miles S of Vinorama. I suppose it is good that we are on the road, but I sure am curious about what has happened.

Judy, I hope all is well at your place.

Saludos, Tom

SMALL WORLD II

We are still on our road trip before heading back at the end of the month. So we were driving the 101 loop road in Scottsdale, AZ yesterday on the way to my cousin's house and who do we see on the freeway?

On the back of a vehicle is a GOT BAJA? sticker and license plate that reads FLYBAJA. It can only be one person, Captain Mike. Sure enough, we have a 65 MPH window-down exhange pf pleasantries, and wave bye-bye.

I love this stuff! And nice to see you in person Mike!

Who will we see next???

Hey, we'er famous! Yes pangamadness, that is us. From left to right our pals Gene and Joan, Terry from San Ignacio B&B, me, Terry's husband Gary (really nice folks), and Paula in red. We hope to stay there this week on our trip back home. Tom

BTW, that painting is hanging in our Son's family room behind me right now.

PS, Hey Judy, how's the weather down there? Are the bobos still a nuisance?

I agree! Everyone has smiles on their faces in every single photo! Interesting thread, indeed.
