4 runner and recall.
Toyota doesn't call it a "recall" but they will rebuild or replace your V-6 engine free of charge "ONE-TIME-ONLY" if you have blown it! Apparently,
they had lots of problems with the engine overheating and the head gaskets blowing. My brother had his engine replaced and so did several of his
friends about 5 or 6 years ago. This is for V-6's ONLY and I hope the offer has not expired by now as most people already had it done by now. I would
go down there and talk to the service manager about it and if you don't get any results, ask to speak with the Toyota District Manager.

That has got to be a relief for you. Always better to be informed than to find out the hard way. You should be good to go now. Have fun in baja and
parts in between.

Thanks..... it was a reief I have one more problem
The gal I bought it from forwarned me that there was a problem with rolling down the back window (dang power windows!)
Anyway....I took it in today to figure out what it will cost to fix....seems it's a relay switch, which is a $350.00 part, OUCH! I'm searching local
wrecking yards to see if I can get a used one, the only one I found so far wants $300 (heck why pay that much for used when new is only $50 more....)
Anyway.....I'm wondering in anyone here knows of maybe a local yard to you that might help me find one? Any help you can give will earn you my
undying thanks a dinner and of course Adult berverage of you choice on me. Thanks....Debra

Grover! thank-you, thank-you, thank-you!
I went to that site "4X4Wire" WHAT A GREAT SITE!
I checked it out, and found a whole thread with my exact problem... with a 'play by play' (complete with diagrams) fit-it soulution with a $2.99 part
from Radio Shack! I printed it out and am taking it to my mechanic (since I already paid him $150 for the work to put in the part) What does everyone
think I should charge him for my print-out? (just kidding) Thanks again Grover, I owe you that dinner and Adult beverage!

Debra. Sometimes parts are found on Ebay. I've bought several over the past year for my tow car. A Geo Metro convert.
