Place in Baja=to whaT FOOD

Participating in "you are a Baja nomad if", thread I tought about one.On any given time you end up on this towns that we like so much and for me I related the place(town ,city etc..) to a dish, you know comida.so let see what the nomads had to say. I will go firts with mine

When I think of San Quintin I think about Almejas Ahumadas
get the picture, lets see what Baja place you can identify with food..

Mulege - really good haggis.

...ok, ok a special food in Mulege for me would be those delicious date-fed pork carnitas at Ramon's every Saturday. Always a special taste treat and a good social function.

for me, since I don't go into town much when I'm down Baja way would be :
1st ... the tortilla soup at Compestre's in La Paz
2nd ....the carnitas at La Michoacan in La Paz
and my all time favorite is my home made chili relleno around the camp fire at sunset in my secret spot.
My turkey sandwich I just ate pales to any of the above now.......
arrrrrgggggggg
