I had my truck stolen last night.

Last night some dirt balls broke into my vacation home in Baja and made off with a few minor things, but they managed to get my 89 ford bronco also. It is an Eddie Bauer edition, tan top with maroon body. There are lots of these down there but this one has a Flesh Gear sticker on the front window and a Baja.net sticker on the rear window. It is basically a piece of mierda , but I need it to launch my boat. If you see it on Mex 1 please run the bastard off the road and have a good laugh.

I hope you all are having a better day.

Thanks Lou. This is my third robbery in three months. It's getting to be too much. Last month they got my water pump and some motorcycle parts. Before that it was the tools out of my shed. They seem to be getting more brazen, probably because they know nobody is at the house. I think it is time to go mobile. It is harder to hit a moving target.

Sometimes the find a place they think is easy pickins and keep coming back. A friend just south of San Felipe has had the same experience - a jeep, a VW Thing (really cherry) generators, TV - you name it. Too bad

Minnow, this may be tantamount to locking the barn after the horse is gone, but there's a guy in Cantu named David whom you might pay a few pesos a week to keep an eye on things for you. If you were at the Spay & Neuter clinic last Feb., he's the guy I hired to stay at the ejido salon overnight. You can reach him through Carlos or Norma at UPS.

Information is starting to come in. The main suspect is a guy who used to do work for me, and is a neighbor. Dennis and Vince, since you two are close to the action, please keep an eye out for my Pizza truck. The truck is no big deal, but I would love to put the thief where he belongs. It might even spare you two a similar fate.

Bummer Tom... Sorry the low life scum found and took your rig!

On your next rig, try using a different sticker... I will save a 'got baja?' one for you!:light:

:lol::lol: Thats funny DK. Whatever you think of me on the internet, one day the shoe could be on the other foot, and don't think myself, or any number of other Amigos wouldn't do what ever they could to help you out. Lets keep everything in perspective. There is zillions of those Viva Baja stickers around. I may be the only one with a Baja.net one.
:lol::lol::lol:

No, I got plenty of wheels Dennis. That truck was the prima beach launcher though. Now I am afraid it will be bringing in pangas that have something other than fish in them. You figure it out.:lol:

I really loved baja back when the only inhabitants were the ones that were honest and hard working enough to want to
even be in a place where scatching out a living is such hard work.
Like the lady said "Bad road, good people. Good road
bad people".
There are now GPS tracking systems that are quite small and
can be put in cars. Most likely more for the satisfaction of
finding your car before the cops ever do. Even once you do
"zero in on it" I would bet that the officials would still be a bit
standoffish on approching the alleged offender without any
"hard evidence" After all he could have just found the car abandoned on the road.
Now I know why in the old west horsethieves
and rustlers were shot or hung. It fosters an attitude for total disregard of the law....and if you get the right guys it stops repeat offenders!
