The USGS is reporting that there were 2 earthquakes in the SOC about 70 miles E NE of La Paz. A 4.6 and a 4.8 about 7pm and 10pm last night. Anyone

The site I have for earthquakes only goes as far south as Mexicali, and north to the Salton Sea. What's the site you use? Please advise.

So that is what the El Dorado Ranch Salesman meant by, 'In no time, you will feel like you are in California again' when he sold me the lot in San
Felipe.

Now, these are not earthquakes but a bump in the road. In Imperial Valley everyone knows what earthquakes are and those as weak as those do not even
get the dogs excited anymore. Just another California day with a quake here and a quake there everywhere a quake quake. Mexico ought to be used to
them now especially around Mexico City, Que No??? bajafun777

The whole Baja California Peninsula is moving away from the mainland at the rate of several inches per year. At some time in the future, Baja will be
an island. It doesn't happen all at once, but one little tremor at a time. Sometimes a big tremor, but otherwise, many little tremors here and there.
Thanks for posting this info, it "grounded" me again, and reminded me of the nature of the live forces in our local geology.

Another 4.0 Thursday AM around 8am. Maybe Baja is trying to run away from the mainland instead of crawl.

Baja is moving westward at about the same speed as the growth rate of a human hair.

Hey, more movement the better, I say. Won't have to blend the Margaritas if this keeps up. If Baja becomes an island we would have to rename it.
Anyone got any ideas?

Isn't that how 007 liked his scotch whiskey served, or was it the opposite?

Now is the time to consider an excellent business opportunity - a ferry service from Baja to San Diego!
