Dean's remnants not so bad
It looks like some serious rain WAS coming from just southeast of Baja heading northwest. Dissipated pretty much, however

It is getting pretty dark here right now and eerily calm. Temp dropping(86 on the porch, high today 90) and 70% humidity.
I just looked out over the sea and there is no horizon.
more later

Any changes in the weather? Anything happening. The Bajagypsy's hope that another storm doesn't hit Baja, and that everyone stays safe.

I'm hoping for plenty of safe rain for all of Baja. We could use a drenching here in So Cal. Keep the weather reports coming Nomads, it's hard to get
up-to-date info.

I think any rain is good rain in baja, I talked to a local that moved to Mulege 30 years ago. He lived at Oasis for the first 3 years, the owner of
the Oasis told him he could stay there but he couldn't live there, because of flooding. He moved up the hill on the north side of town, and filmed the
flood, he thought it was good in the end everybody had work. My2cents.

No rain last night in Los Cabos. Supposed to be some rain in the forecast today. Sky is completely overcast but the horizon is easily visible. Very
light breeze with very light surf. Temperature is high 70's and very humid.
I saw a cruise ship pulling into San Lucas at 0500 this morning. It appears they are not concerned

Has there ever been a hurricane that started in the Atlantic and crossed to the Pacific and continued as a hurricane further to the west that anyone
can remember or know of.

That is not unheard of across Central America.
But when talking Mexico, someone posted a link that showed the hurricane tracks of all recorded hurricanes across Mexico and I didnt see one that
actually crossed Mexico and continued on as a hurricane. But it was difficult to differentiate all the paths with so many lines. Usually the Sierra
Madre Occidental was the death of most all of them.......from either direction.

We got about 20 minutes of spitting this afternoon and it is partly cloudy now with a gentle west wind keeping the rain at bay but looks like it may
rain later tonight.

These things show up almost every afternoon/evening over there but this one is really large. On the loop it shows it heading towards Mulege area. May
fizzle out during the xing though. No lightning yet. Rain would be really nice but when it comes in sideways it can be really messy.
