A "hot dog wrap", for sure, as the activity. You knew I'D come up with that one, didn't you!

Hey Russ, I decided not to wait for Mexico to try my first bacon wrapped hot dog in 20 years (the last one in Mazatlan kept me ill for days). I got some Hebrew Natl dogs and used some of that maple bacon from Costco.

I think it was too much a clash..........maybe even too healthy! It didnt taste good with mustard and onions. I finally figured out it was best with BBQ sauce......and I never put BBQ sauce or even catsup on a hot dog.

I think I am waiting for another one from Mexico to make my final decision.

I really like marshmellows but you can only find colored ones here and they scare me for some reason. Nor can I find graham crackers...Hershey bars I can find.
Are there any ex girl scouts out there........... besides the boys......;)

'SMORES.....of course! And the colored ones aren't squishy like those Kraft pillows. Yep, girl scouted in OB...probably before Woody was born.

A nice sized rock, all warmed up and a towel ready to wrap it in so that I can take it back to my sleeping bag and keep my feet warm all night. (not fitting during this time of year)

This topic made me think of the smell of burning tennis shoe rubber as I warm my feet on that nice sized rock, watching kamakazi (sp?) scorpions diving into the fire, loosing my "night vision" and being suprised by cows joining the festivities, and wondering why smoke follows beauty....

Smores

Can't enjoy smores without a good snipe hunt----yes, our Tommy is getting ready to find all those snipes.

Opps, he now looks like the snipe.

Love a good campfire

Wow.....Look at the eyes. Early mornings when the coyotes are KAI YIing in the hills around my house, I'll creep out, shine a light, and thats what I see. Around fifteen sets of headlights looking back at me.
