Fire hotspots install for Google Earth

This is a link that will down load from a Gov database fires spotted from sat over the last 12-24 hours. It also includes areas outside the US which has been a major information issue for those of you that are the Mexican side of the border.

Have google Earth open when you open this file and it will install automatically.

Thanks for posting that link!

I'd got a quick glimpse of a CNN map which placed a fire on My buddies ranch south of la Bufadora.

Your link made me breathe a little easier.

I passed it onto an RV Forum where some were very grateful for info.

I had Google Earth open, but when I tried to open the file, it said the image could not be retrieved. Anything else I should do to access it?

Looks like the forest service site is down.
