Brrrrrrrrrrrrrr 60 on my porch

When I woke up it was 60 on my thermometer on my porch.
Of course my mother in law is here and we are sleeping on the open air second floor.

Things are very strange here in Asuncion....HOT! Like middle of summer hot...geez I had to take all the blankets off the bed again and sleep with all the windows open! Lovely indian summer and warm water for our daily swims! Should be excellent for Sirenitas party...good thing I'm gonna be the only canadian there(I'll try to keep my bathing suit on!)

Mood: Missing Baja

I'm trying very hard to feel sorry for you all waking up to 60 and 56. It's in the high 30's here in Idaho this morning. And it will only get colder as the days go on. This is my favorite time in Baja. As the North goes into winter, we would enjoy sunshine warmth. I'm just jealous.

It snowed here in the Northern Sierra foothills a month ago. Then it rained for three weeks and I had the woodstove cranking a month early. This week it is warm and sunny. Temperatures in the high 70s. Go figure???

At least, now I am getting a reprieve from that panicky feeling that causes me to bolt to Baja. I can be responsible and tie up loose ends first. Eat your hearts out, Idaho. :P

I know! I know! I'll be struck by a bolt of lightning for saying that.

Shari-

Once the high pressure breaks down in the next day or two, things should get back to normal...and then I'll be there ready to get back to fishing....oh yeah, and working on the house. My mom will be there so I guess I'll have to stay focussed.

Mood: could be better

What about 38 degrees. Actually we had frost on the roofs here, so it was belof 36 overnight here on Vancouver Island. Gorgeos day mind you, not a cloud in the sky.
However, we are buzy packing and can't wait to cruise down early November.

Mood: Missing Baja

I am jealous of anyone who gets to head down there in the winter. Why do we spend our productive years working instead of enjoying life? Some part of this just doesn't make any sense!! Our fall colors have been gorgeous this year. But it also means the leaves are about to go and cold is to follow. When we lived in Baja people would say our weather there was boring. I can taking boring. Loved it.
