how many watts does it take...
remember we are completely solar powered and need to
"force participation" in conserving energy...
a 60 watt unit will take half the electricty that a 120 watt regular unit takes
...we usually watch tv in the evening when there is NO sunshine
the bateries have to "take up the slack"
i can't belive how little $$$ the "big dogs" cost now days

After a few months in the old country, I remember why I don't have TV in Baja.

that dish in the picture is the Hughes dish.
The dish for TV is a 1.8 meter dish as I have explained to you in the past.
Small dish will not work here and you get the 119 bird.

Bob - get a LCD or DLP projector off ebay and ship to me i'll bring it down. they are cheap now and all you need is an old slide projector screen
that's 40"by 40" like i have in my palapa room, we bring it out for DVDs or directv at my place in the parque and i feed it from my HP DLP unit i
bring down for extended stays, i just pull it from my ceiling in the home theater room of my USA house with quick disconnects.
but i am getting one that stays in baja.
Mitsubishi has one that is battery powered and the rage now is LEDs in stead of
a bulb that eats juice. check out PK 10 or 20 models.
also INFOCUS has a smallish LED model LV-70+ now, likely the one i'll pick up.
you can also feed em with your D pin 15 VGA out from your computers for a really big monitor swap.

Mike, you are so correct. Fry's has them for cheap..... Put one in each room, flat paste the walls and you could project them there. Every casa
would have a giant screen. Sweet.....
Not to mention every channel from any country on earth.
