Pearl Harbor?

Did I miss seeing a post on memory of Pearl Harbor? I gave a small tribute to those putting their lives on the line last evening at my "Pearls of the Sea" dinner.

I did not serve. My father was navy and saw action in Okinawa.

The only place I saw anything was in "Off Topic". I had a great uncle that was in the navy also, he is deceased now but he was a survivor. I was told his story by my mother, he lost all of his friends, it was Hell.

A big thank you to those who served to keep the homeland safe... then and now! Dec. 7, 1941 and Sept. 11, 2001 are both dates that we can never forget, when we were attacked on our own soil, resulting in some 3,000 deaths on each of those two days.

Dock,
I wish I could have been there for your tribute. Dec. 7 rolled by quieter this year.
Peace to you
